Research Paper/Report
Facilitated by Randy Babinski, Research Project Coordinator

Our goal with this project is to create a report/paper on persons in Ontario with potential
barriers to employment such as physical/mental disabilities, the obstacles that exist for them in
the workforce, the services and supports available to them for finding, obtaining and
maintaining stable meaningful employment and of those services/supports which are the best
and why. We hope to create a resource that will be an asset to organizations such as yours that
assist persons at risk.

In addition to the attached survey responses, some of the other information we are seeking
from you includes:

-The mission/objective of your organization and what services you provide.

-What geographic area you service, what communities are you most involved in?

-A rough estimate of the number of persons that make use of your services along with any
breakdown of their approximate age and gender.

                                            Page 1
-What portion of your clients have a physical disability, mental disability or both and anything
you do for them that relates to skills building or job seeking.

-Of the services you provide, which do you feel are most effective to disabled persons seeking
employment and why?

-The number of youth or disabled youth that you assist and what services, if any you provide to
them.

-If you partner with any other agencies or organizations to provide services and who they are?

I realize that the information you could provide might not be perfectly accurate but whatever
you could supply would be welcome and I hope you can take the time to assist us with our
efforts. If you have any questions, please contact me by email (GL2814_2001@yahoo.com) or
phone (613-756-0723).
Thank you,

Randy Babinski, Research Project Coordinator
