3. Target Audience and Key Publics Target Audience It is important to find the best target audience to reach your goals and objectives. It is not Key Public Key Publics are the publics that must be met to reach your objective. It is great to reach as many publics as possible, but effective event planners must have a specific public that they deem necessary to reach.
4. Working With A Group It is important to make sure your group has a common goal, and work together! Make sure no groupthink occurs, and that all decisions are made understanding the risks behind them. If the group is larger than five to ten individuals, it may be important to have sub committees as well. Find a leader and make sure the team is supportive of them as well. With a strong group, anything can happen!

7. DETAIL! Detail is one of the most important factors of event planning. Make sure everything is planned out correctly and in a timely manner so that you have the option to go back and make sure things run smoothly. You want to be prepared for last minute changes and issues.
