3. A longer attention span…
“Recently, a whole lot of attention has been giving to the dangers of
texting while driving. Prior to that, a huge movement about the
dangers of talking on cell phones while driving was conducted.
Taking your attention away from the road is definitely a recipe for
disaster, and it stands to reason that those with shorter attention spans
are more likely to experience problems in that department.
The University of Bradford study suggests that oestrogen tends to give
women much longer attention spans than men.
Despite the popular stereotype of female drivers who apply makeup
and perform other frivolous tasks behind the wheel, it is clear that
women tend to be able to focus more carefully on important matters.
When it comes to driving, this tendency gives them a distinct advantage
over men. Quoting the study, “Oestrogens may positively influence
neuronal activity in the frontal lobes, the area of the brain stimulated by
tasks of attention and rule learning” CheapCarInsurance.net

4. Aggressive Driving…
“Defined as driving in a manner which tend to increase the
likelihood of causing injury or damage to another.
Examples, are driving fast, tail gaiting, unwarranted or improperly
timed overtaking, etc. Here are the facts and figures:
• Statistically speaking men between the ages of 2o to 30 meet
with more vehicular accidents involving speeding and
overtaking, than women. Ask any automobile insurance
company, ask the DMV or ask your local highway patrol officer
and the answer will be the same.
• Aggressive behaviour may be brought about by men having
more testosterone than women which is known to be a trigger
for aggressive behaviour. ” Insure4usa.com

5. Accidents…
Now while anyone could be in need of a touch up after a fender bender
or windshield repair after a minor accident, it looks like men do in fact
have more accidents than women.
“Men get in more accidents than women:
• According to a New York City traffic study, 80% of all auto accidents
that kill or seriously injure pedestrians involve male drivers.
• According to a study by Quality Planning, an insurance statistics
company, female drivers were also 27% less likely to be found at
fault when involved in an accident.
• These statistics tend to hold true no matter where you look.
According to the United States Department of Transportation and
the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, men were
involved in 6.1 million accidents (40,000 were fatal) in 2007. By
comparison, women were only involved in 4.4 million (14,000 were
fatal).” 4autoinsurancequote.org

6. Women park better…
“It has been recently revealed in a report that women drivers tend
to have better car parking sense than men.
This has been revealed in a new study conducted on the matter. It
was revealed that women might take a little longer to park their
cars, but they are more likely to do the job well.
The study has been conducted by researchers from the Ruhr
University Bochum, situated in Germany. This is one of the first
most detailed studies conducted on this topic.
It was found that women are more adept at finding better parking
places and lining their vehicles more accurately and
carefully, avoiding those scratches. Men tend to park their cars in
16 seconds, in a hap hazard manner, while women take their own
sweet 26 seconds for the same.” Topnews.us

7. Women break the law less…
“In a study released by Quality Planning, an
analytics company that validates policyholder
information for auto insurers, women came
out on top.
• The study analyzed different kinds of
vehicle code violations (traffic violations)
and then compared how many times men
were cited versus women. The conclusion
was that men break more traffic laws and
drive more dangerously than women.
Because they violate laws designed to
make the roads safer, men cause more
accidents and expensive damage.
• "We were not surprised to see that men
have slightly more violations — about 5
percent — that result in accidents than Image by: DavidsonScot15
women," said Raj Bhat, president of
Quality Planning. "And because men are
also more likely to violate laws for
speeding, passing and yielding, the
resulting accidents caused by men lead to
more expensive claims than those caused
by women."
• Topping the list is the finding that men are
cited for reckless driving 3.41 more times
than women. Reckless driving is
considered one of the most serious traffic
offenses by courts since it implies a Image by: miss_rogue
disregard for the rights and safety of
people or property.” Auto.msn
