Abstract for Western Frontier Unit Plan

1. Unit Plan Abstract
This is a five day unit plan titled “Western Frontier”. This unit is made for a fourth grade class.
The unit plan covers the topics of why move west, journey to the west, daily life on the
western frontier, legends of the west, and Native Americans of the western frontier.
Throughout the unit plan many different methods and technologies are used to appeal to all
learning styles. Technologies that are used in this unit plan are videos, webquests, Blogger,
Wikispaces, arts and bots, Twitter, Photoshop, Facebook, Zello, posters, cameras, iPads, and
computers.
