Secrets for Planting Sugarcane
5. Applying Nitrogen Fixing bacteria.
6. Applying foliar fertilizer or applying liquid fertilizer by drip irrigation
7. Applying solid fertilizer, suitable for plant’s mineral requirement in
each plant growth period.
1. Planting before drought period.
2. Preparing Soil by using ripper to brake the compact soil.
3. Planting in double row.
4. Water management by using drip irrigation.
• Recommend to plant in October to November
Oct. Nov. Dec. Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. May Jun.
Drought Season
• Sugarcane will be 11-12
month when harvest
• Get higher CCS
• Sugarcane can go trough
droughtstage
• Less moisturein soil
• Sugarcane wants water
applying for germination
• Plant at the beginning of
rainy season
• If start planting after this
periodofyield , quantity
and quality will be less.
1. Planting Before Drought Season.
 Make the area flat
 Tillage deeper than 50 cm. or as deep as you can
2. Preparing Soil by Using Ripper to Brake the Compact Soil.
1. 3 Dishes 2. 7 dishes 3. ripper
Old way to
use ripper
Old way: tillage as in the picture
New way: tillage only the same place as the row to
plant sugarcane
New Technology to Brake the Compact Soil
Before using RipperBefore using Ripper
 Water can be absorbed and kept in underground
 Suitable with planting before drought season
 Root can grow and absorb plant mineral more proper
 Increase soil moisture content
Advantage of Braking the Compact Soil
With compact soil
 root cannot grow properly
Without compact soil
 root can grow properly
 Not fire the sugarcane leaf when harvest.
 Keep the sugarcane leaf for cover the soil to prevent
moisture evaporation
 Enrich the soil with qrganic matter

Comparison Between Single and Double Row Plantation
Put only 1 stalk in one timePut 2 stalks in one time* 6.25 rai = 1 ha.
SingleRow Double Row
1.Less population 1. More population
2. Sunlight can go through the surface soil and
make moisture in soil evaporate
2. Expand more area for sugarcane tillering
3. Weed can grow 3. Eradicate weed easily
4. Putting 2 stalk together in 1 row makes plant
mineral competition.The sugarcane will be
smaller and get less weight.
4. Get proper sunlight

Water pump Filter system Drip tape
- Space between row = 0.4-0.6 m.(Double row)
- Space between drip tape = 1.8-2.0 m. (space from the middle of double row)
- Depth from soil surface = 15-30 cm.
Drip Irrigation on the Ground
• convenience and movable
• save cost and can suddenly be used for sugarcane in drought stage
Pond/irrigation Water pump > 2 HP Filter
Drip tape
More Advantages Than Irrigation by Furrow
1. More yield
2. More ratoon generation
3. More CCS
4. Save water
5. Save labor cost
6. Can apply liquid fertilizer to
boost sugarcane growth.

Nitrogen Fixing Microorganism
Properties
1. Increase biological nitrogen fixation (BNF) from air
2. Increase mineral digestion and release toavailable form for sugarcane
3. Increase Beneficial microorganisms
***recommendation
1.can be mixed with liquid fertilizerunder Double Eagle trade mark in irrigationand drip irrigationsystem
2.cannot be mixed with other pesticide or chemical compound that can destroy some microorganism
3.should use IMO for sugarcane 15-20 days after spraying herbicide.
Nitrogen Fixing Microorganism
1. Acetobacter diazotrophicus

Sugarcane Planting
• The cutting must be cut from 6-8 month sugarcane stem
and soaked with fungicide before planting
• One cutting should have at lease 3 nodes(20-30 cm. length).
• Space between row must be at lease 80 cm. (for single row
sugarcane).
• Harvest after planting is 10-12 month

Applying solid fertilizer, suitable for plant’s mineral requirement in each plant growth period. 1. Planting before drought period. 2. Preparing Soil by using ripper to brake the compact soil. 3. Planting in double row. 4. Water management by using drip irrigation.
  • 12. • Recommend to plant in October to November Oct. Nov. Dec. Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. May Jun. Drought Season • Sugarcane will be 11-12 month when harvest • Get higher CCS • Sugarcane can go trough droughtstage • Less moisturein soil • Sugarcane wants water applying for germination • Plant at the beginning of rainy season • If start planting after this periodofyield , quantity and quality will be less. 1. Planting Before Drought Season.
  • 13.  Make the area flat  Tillage deeper than 50 cm. or as deep as you can 2. Preparing Soil by Using Ripper to Brake the Compact Soil. 1. 3 Dishes 2. 7 dishes 3. ripper
  • 14. Old way to use ripper Old way: tillage as in the picture New way: tillage only the same place as the row to plant sugarcane
  • 15. New Technology to Brake the Compact Soil
  • 16.
  • 18.  Water can be absorbed and kept in underground  Suitable with planting before drought season  Root can grow and absorb plant mineral more proper  Increase soil moisture content Advantage of Braking the Compact Soil
  • 19. With compact soil  root cannot grow properly Without compact soil  root can grow properly
  • 20.  Not fire the sugarcane leaf when harvest.  Keep the sugarcane leaf for cover the soil to prevent moisture evaporation  Enrich the soil with qrganic matter Soil Enrichment
