INDIAN FACE
INDIAN EQUITY BENCHMARK by losses in Index
heavyweights such as ICICI Bank, ITC, RIL and SBI, the Indian
benchmarks witnessed tepid trade session as investors
booking profit in selective counters. The major fall was
witnessed in the defensive sector FMCG, while banking,
power and oil & gas too were trading in red.
Bharat Forge rose 2%, after the company said it has signed a
multi-year contract with Boeing Commercial Airplane to
supply titanium forgings for wing components for the next-
generation 737 and 737 MAX.
Bharti Infratel rose 1.38%, after the RBI notified that
Registered Foreign Portfolios Investors can now invest up to
49% of the paid up capital of the company under the Portfolio
Investment Scheme.
GLOBAL FACE
Asian shares climbed as strong trade data for January and a
weaker yen boosted exporters' shares. Most regional markets
were closed for lunar New Year holidays.
European shares edged off 7-year highs hit by a slide in oil
prices and a mixed batch of corporate results, with
disappointing updates from companies including utility
Centrica and airline Air France-KLM.
US stock index futures poised for a higher opening at the Wall
Street on Thursday.

Indian commercial banks' credit grow
10.38% till February 6
Indian commercial banks' credit grew 10.38% to Rs64.41 lakh crore in
the fortnight to February 6, according to Reserve Bank latest data.
Most of the banks are seeing muted loan growth this fiscal as the
economy is yet to pick up. Banks’ deposits grew at a faster pace of
11.77% y-o-y to Rs84.63 lakh crore in the fortnight ended February 6.
Hindalco secures Gare Palma IV 5

Hindalco Industries won the Gare Palma IV 5 coal block in
Chhattisgarh for Rs 3,502 per tonne, according to the results of e-
Auction for Schedule II coal mines announced by the Ministry of Coal
today, (February 19, 2015).According to reports, Gare Palma IV 5,
spread over 828.26 hectares has extractable coal reserves of 50
million tonnes.
