4. How to Search for Information Do not ask the computer a question… “Where do Buddhists worship and who leads this?” …it will not give you an answer! Instead use keywords:“Buddhism AND places of worship” ***using quotations will refine your search to EXACTLY what you are researching***

5. Bibliography/Works Cited A bibliography is a list of citations for books, periodical articles or other materials, such as personal/professional websites. A “Works Cited” Page is just another name for a Bibliography. They mean the same thing.

6. Why do we need to have a bibliography? Bibliographies are very important when it comes to research. If information comes from somewhere other than YOUR OWN KNOWLEDGE, you must give credit to the original researcher!!! Copying someone else’s work is called PLAGIARISM.

7. Plagiarism?? Apiece of writing that has been copied from someone else and is presented as being your own work. The act of plagiarizing; taking someone's words or ideas as if they were your own.

8. How to write a bibliography… In order to write a bibliography, you must take into consideration the following things… 1. REMEMBER each source you used to gather your information!! Document, document, document!! 2. Citations (Information that identifies a book or Internet article) must be in ABC order! 3. Citations are double spaced 4. Indent the second line of every long citation.
