Adding to the iPhone 4S' greatness is its operating system, the iOS 5. Here are some tips and tricks to make your iPhone experience worthwhile with its iOS 5 technology.
2. The iPhone 4S is one iPhone model that has seen its fan base grow to
millions since it was released just weeks after Apple founder, Steve
Jobs passed away. Unlike its predecessors, the iPhone was successful
in being popular without having too much negative publicity such as
non-functioning antennas and overheating units. No wonder a lot of
people have been trying to sell old iPhone models for cash so that
they can upgrade and enjoy this great phone.
3. 1. Bring back the ticker.
The Stock ticker is a great, not to mention, useful widget for business-minded owners. Real time stock
quotes are handily available to iPhone users. Sometimes, by some mistake, it is dragged down to the bottom
of the screen but it can be brought back up again to the top. Do this by tapping 'Notification Settings' then
'Edit'. Hold the bars on the right of each entry to arrange them in a new order, dragging the stock widget up
until it is below the weather widget.
4. 2. Where is my spotlight?
If Spotlight is taking more time detecting the files you are searching for, you can narrow down
the search by trimming the list of apps whose data is indexed in its search list.
Do this by deselecting these apps in Settings > General > Spotlight Search. You can also change
the order in which the results are shown by dragging categories up and down the search list
5. 3. Come out, come out, wherever you are!
Find out what app needs consideration by swiping from the clock downward to pull down a list of recent
notifications then deal with these apps by tapping them one at a time.
4. Clear out!
Your notification can also be uncluttered of old reminders.
Clear out the whole section by tapping 'X' on each section
divider by followed by 'Clear'.
6. 5. Customize your notification center
Reduce the number of apps that send out notifications by going to 'Settings' then tap 'Notifications'. Tap the
'On/Off' slider of the apps you want to be silenced.
7. You can go to Apple's page and read about their
latest news and updates. Reading and researching
will give you tons of information that you may really
need to know.
But of course, if you really want a new unit, then sell
your old iPhone for cash that you can use to buy a
new iPhone.
