3. Free Trade Warehousing Zone - GENESIS
 Free trade ware housing zone is new concept in India under special category of special
economic zone, approved under SEZ act & Rules, 2005-2006 under Para 18 (5), which
allows units in free trade ware housing zone set up in special economic zone
 These units can hold the goods on account of the foreign supplier for dispatches as per
their instructions and allowed to do trading with or without labeling, packing, re-packing, re
-selling, re-invoicing, re-export etc.
 Units can also do refrigeration for storage, assembly of CKD and SKD kits and take care of
manufacturing activity if client is providing capital goods on lease or loan and raw material
provided that all transactions by a unit in free trade and warehousing zone shall only be in
convertible foreign currency.
 Free trade warehousing zones are envisaged to be integrated Zones & to be used as
International Trading Hubs.
 Free trade ware housing zone is a Sanitized Zone designated as Foreign Territory for
carrying on business.

Free Trade Warehousing Zone UNIT to operate in Kandla Special Economic Zone, Gujarat
& Vishakhapatnam Special Economic Zone , Andhra Pradesh.
 CFTW understand the dynamics of the Global Hub and offer hassle free Warehousing,
Trading, Consolidation, Value addition , Manufacturing Services on behalf of foreign
identity & to Link Logistic and Global Supply Chain, servicing both India and the Globe.
 CFTW objective is to create facilitate to import and export of goods and services with
freedom to carry out trade transactions in free currency. The unit will be having world-class
infrastructure for warehousing of various products, state–of–the–art equipment,
transportation and handling facilities, commercial office-space, communications and
connectivity, with one-stop clearance of import and export formality as ‘International
Trading Hubs’.

by Young qualified professionals Mr. Amarjeet Singh Chawla & Mr. Anujit Singh having
a vast experience of international trade, with an objective to provide a new era of
global trading hub.
Mr. Chawla has over 25 years experience in International Trade dealing with
International Buyers and traveled world-wide .Presently running successfully M/s
G .K .Fashions Pvt. Ltd, Since 1989.
Mr. Anujit Singh has 8 years of Management Experience

facilitate imports whereby the items from other countries can
be stored without paying duties till they are actually moved into
the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) .Similarly , domestic units
located with the CFTW can facilitate Exports.
CFTW is exempted from the payment of service tax on storing
the commodities , thereby reducing the logistics cost to the
importer and exporter.
Advantages
CFTW is the close proximity to the port –Kandla &
Vishakhapatnam , transportation bulk commodities
( Fertilizers , dry chemicals etc ) can be made easier by
delaying the requirement such as bagging and containerizing
them.
CFTW can facilitate establishment of trading exchanges such as
London Metal exchange and MCX wherein global traders can
use the CFTW as a hub for distribution thereby reducing the cost
of sourcing as the products would physically available in India

• Custom duty deferment benefits for products requiring longer
storage period, the custom duty would be payable only at the
time the commodities are sold into the DTA
• For e.g., if your import is US$ 10 Million, average custom duty
is 30% ,inventory cycle is 30 days, you defer duty US $ 3
Million and also save interest on duty for a month, which can be
utilized as cash flow
