How to trust your intuition and follow your heart
1. How To Trust Your Intuition And Follow Your Heart
When we're young, our emotions run hot and we tend to react to what we feel. As we get
older, we begin to train ourselves out of that habit. We begin to learn the various social
rules and structures that exist around us, and change our actions to fit them. By the time
we become an adult, we've learned to put aside our own thoughts, feelings, hopes, and
dreams, and fit into the mold that society expects from us. Yet that causes problems all its
own. Namely, it can make a person feel lost, hopeless, and alone.
How can a person deal with that? What can they do in order to break out of their self-
imposed chains and begin to find their hopes and dreams yet again?
The first thing to do is to stop second guessing yourself! One of the things we train
ourselves to believe, almost from day one, is that our instincts are wrong and not to be
trusted. That's not true at all! how to trust your intuition and following our hearts
involves taking a risk. And if the risk doesn't pan out, it can end in trouble.
Unfortunately, human beings are programmed to remember the negative over the
positive. This is an evolutionary survival trait. When we remember what wound up
causing us to be in danger, we avoid that danger in the future. It allows us to stay alive
more easily. For More Information About trusting your intuition.
It also allows us to trap ourselves in a hollow shell of a life, never doing the things we
really want to do. There's absolutely no call for that. Listening to your heart will lead to
risk, of course. Sometimes, that risk will end up burning us. Yet that doesn't mean taking
the risk was pointless. Even when things go wrong, we have experiences! We learn life
lessons!
Make a promise to yourself. Every single day, do at least one thing that you don't second
guess. Don't worry over the possible risks and rewards. Don't pause to consider all the
things that could go wrong. And absolutely do not decide that high risk means there's no
point in trying!
Choose a thing, and do it! Sometimes, it won't work. But sometimes it will work, and when
it does, think about how to know your intuition!
