STAGE FRIGHT
Stage fright is often thought of as communication-based anxiety
resulting in a person experiencing physiological excitement, negative
feelings, or certain behavioral responses to the actual or expected act of
public speaking. Also, the fear of public speaking is primarily a fear of
speaking in front of an audience.

Pleasant, conveying a sense of friendliness.
Natural, reflecting the true personality and sincerity of the speaker.
Forceful, conveying vitality and strength, even when it isn’t especially loud.
Expressive, demonstrating various shades of meaning, never sounding
monotonous and emotionless.
Easily heard, as a result of proper volume and clear articulation.
VOCALVARIETY
 Volume – Loudness of your voice or softness of your voice
 Pitch – Sound is how high low and high
 Rate - number of words you speak per minute
 Quality - friendliness, naturalness, and confidence, and be enjoyable
and pleasant to the ears.
Appropriate Speech Rate
1. 1000Words per seven minutes (around 140-150 words per
minute)
2. 20 minutes X 150 words / minute = 3,000 words
