Weekend/Holiday meal hours for December include Dec. 22-24 and 29 Dec - 1 Jan. Due to the Division Half
Day schedule the following are operational DFAC's at Fort Stewart in December. Raider DFAC (Bldg 642,
1312 William H. Wilson Ave), will be open for all meals through Dec. 31. Spartan DFAC (Bldg 512, 606
William H. Wilson Ave), will be open for all meals through 20 Dec. Vanguard DFAC will be open for all

Fort Stewart’s Main Post Chapel will host a Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship, 7 p.m., Dec 24. The Fort
Stewart community is invited to share in this annual worship service to celebrate Christmas as an Army Family.
Hunter Army Airfield hosts the Christmas Eve Candlelight Worship 6 p.m. Dec. 24 at Hunter Chapel. Join us

DIRECTORATE OF HUMAN RESOURCES CLOSURE:
All DHR services will be closed Monday, Dec. 24 on Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield. The DHR
service facilities affected on Fort Stewart include the Education Center (Bldg 100), the Soldier Service Center
(bldg 253), FOIA/RHA/Publications (Bldg 161); Army Substance Abuse Program (Bldg 201,201A & 201-C),
Mower Processing Center (Bldg 208) Official Mail and Distribution Center (Bldg 418), ACAP (Bldg 612, 2nd
floor). All DHR service facilities at Hunter affected are Military Personnel processing (Bldg 1286), ASAP
(Bldg 1283), the Education Center and Army Continuing Education Services (Bldg 1290), and the Official Mail
and Distribution Center (Bldg 2112). All normal operations resume Wed. Dec. 26.
DPW OFFICE CLOSURES:
The Directorate of Public of Works will be closed Friday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. the annual holiday party.
Please contact the work order desk at (912) 767-2883 for Fort Stewart and (912) 315-4003 for Hunter Army
Airfield if you need any assistance with work orders. The organization will resume normal work hours Dec. 24.
DENTAL APPOINTMENTS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE FORT STEWART AND HUNTER DENTAL
CLINICS, through Dec. 31:
Fort Stewart and Hunter Dental Clinics have cleaning and filling appointments available during the Division
half day schedule, Dec. 17 - 31, 7:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. Only Fort Stewart DC1 will be open for patient
appointments Dec. 24 and 31. HAAF/DC3 Dental Clinic will be open for limited patient appointments Dec. 24
and 31. All Fort Stewart and Hunter Dental Clinics will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Soldiers who would like
to schedule dental appointments during this time please call the new DENTAC single access line (912) 435-

CG'S GREEN TO GOLD:
3rd ID and tenant unit Soldiers interested in competing for the Commanding General’s Green to Gold Hip
Pocket Scholarship Program will submit a nomination packet to their unit S-1. Completed nomination packets
are due to the MSE G-1 NLT 1 Feb 13. The CG, 3ID will consider nominations and forward the FSGA
nominations to Cadet Command by 1 Apr 13. Eligibility requirements are located in the MOI at

VIGIL FOR CT SCHOOL SHOOTING VICTIMS PLANNED, Dec. 21:
The Homeless Coalition Candlelight Vigil scheduled for Dec. 21 has been rescheduled to Jan. 22 at 6 p.m. in
the Hinesville Methodist Church. The change is due to another prayer vigil that is being held at 6:30 p.m. by the
Ministerial Alliance for the shooting victims and the families of Newtown, CT. This prayer vigil is taking place
behind the National Guard Armory on Hwy 84. We apologize for the change and short notice but let us keep
these families in our thoughts and prayers during this time of grief.

IMMEDIATE CHANGE FOR ID CARD PROCESSING:
Soldiers within 3d ID who are members of 1st BCT, 2nd BCT, 3d Sustainment and DHHB should report to
Mower Processing Center, Bldg 208, Ft Stewart for issuance/renewal of their ID cards. Soldiers are required to
bring with them 2 additional forms of identification. Additionally, if ID card has been lost, a counseling
statement and a police report. These documents are required in order for a new ID card to be issued. Hours at
Mower are 8:45-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m. This change is effective immediately due to ID card equipment being
inoperable in your servicing brigade S1 shops and will be subject to change once additional support can be
provided at the S1 level. Soldiers from 4th BCT should report to the 4th BCT S1 to obtain assistance with their

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AT ROCKY’S ZONE, Monday:

6. STEWART TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES:
The intersection at Hero and Lindquist Roads will be closed to all traffic beginning at 4 p.m., 16 Dec and
continuing through 16 April for road construction. Traffic blockades will be put in place to stop the flow of
traffic through this area. Detour signs and traffic control devices will be posted for the duration of the
construction project. Motorist are encouraged to avoid this area to minimize traffic congestion and to be alert to
traffic patterns around the area. For additional information concerning this closure the point of contact is Joseph

ID CARD APPOINTMENTS CHANGE LOCATION, Dec. 17:
ID cards will be issued by appointment, 8:45 a.m.-4 p.m., Monday through Friday only at Mower Processing
Center beginning 17 Dec. Appointments are required for issuance/renewal of any ID card, updating of DEERS
records, etc. Individuals must bring with them TWO forms of identification. In the event that the card has been
lost or stolen, a police report is required and Soldiers must have a counseling statement. Appointments can be

HOW ABOUT SOME ROLLER DERBY?
We will train women 18 years old and older who would like to learn about roller derby and have some fun.
