Portable Spray Hose Nozzle is manufactured and tested in accordance with UL 401 Portable Spray
Hose Nozzle for Fire Protection Service.

It is intended for the use with lined Fire Hose mounted on Standpipe Systems.

Model A trade size in 1-1/2” and 2-1/2”, rated for use at an inlet pressure of 100 psi.
•
The basic spray type nozzle with a rotational type control.
•
The nozzle is an adjustable type having a water spray discharge ranging from a wide cone shaped
pattern through straight stream to shut-off.
•
The nozzle is made of red leaded brass material conforming to ASTM B30, alloy C83600 and
utilize EPDM O-ring.
Use of solid sream from nozzle around electrical apparatus and circuits may involve serious
accident hazards and these nozzles, are therefore are not recommended for Class C fires.

EMACO’s hose rack assembly is located inside buildings at the wet or dry riser outlet. It
features a rack in which hangs the layflat fire hose (30m). An automatic release mechanism
allows water to flow through the hose after removal of the hose and nozzle. The rack is avail-
able in sizes of 1-1/2” and 2-1/2”. There are two methods of mounting the hose rack.

SUPERVISORY SWITCH

The OSYSU is a 3 position switch. The center position is the normal
installation position. Normal is when the switch is installed on the
OS&Y valve, the valve is fully open and the trip rod of the OSYSU is
in the groove of the valve stem. Closing the valves causes the trip
rod to ride up out of the groove and activates the switches. Remov-
ing the OSYSU from the valve causes the spring to pull the trip rod
in the other direction and activates the switches.

DESCRIPTION & FEATURES
SPECIFICATIONS
Pressure Reducing Valves automatically reduce a higher inlet pressure to a
steady lower outlet pressure regardless of changing flow rate and/or varying inlet
pressure. The valves pilot control system is very sensitive to slight downstream
pressure fluctuations, and will automatically open or close to maintain the desired
pressure setting. The downstream pressure can be set over a wide range by
turning the adjustment screw on the CRD pilot control. The adjustment screw is
protected by a screw-on cover, which can be sealed to discourage tampering.

WATER ALARM CHECK VALVE
The CD Waterflow Alarm Valve System is installed in a sprinkler system to actuate
a fire alarm when the flow of water from the sprinkler system is more than that of
a single sprinkler. The water supply pressure causes an alarm valve clapper to
open and the resultant water flow into the alarm line activates the alarm. Fluctua-
tons and Surges in water mains supply pressure is prevented by a separate bypass
connection and by first routing the water through a retard chamber
