Since its inception in 1994, PetSmart Charities has
placed more than 6 million animals in loving homes and
invested in over 3,000 animal welfare groups across the
nation. In fact, the nonprofit organization helps in excess
of 400,000 cats and dogs find homes each year through
its adoption program.

million to 2,800 welfare groups as well as provided
285,000 spay and neuter surgeries.
In the State of Pennsylvania specifically, PetSmart
Charities completed 2014 contributing $603,264 to
local animal welfare groups. Through the
organization, 6,540 animals received spay and
neuter surgeries, thereby reducing unplanned litters
that contribute to homelessness among pets.
Additionally, 11,270 cats and 3,632 dogs found
loving permanent homes.
