Matthew 4:17), to imply a change of mind
and purpose and life, to which remission of
sin is promised
• Does it seem harsh to discuss on
repentance with a person who has past
hurts and struggles?
• Does that mean we can be care less with
our lives?

12. Repentance
• True repentance consists of
1 a true sense of one’s own guilt and sinfulness;
2 an attitude of gratefulness to God’s grace and
mercy in Christ
3 an actual hatred of sin (Psa 119:128; Job 42:5,
Job 42:6; 2Co 7:10) and turning from it to God;
and
4 a persistent endeavor and desire for a holy life

14. He is Never Too Busy For
You
• We may be too busy for our heavenly Father, but He
is never too busy for us

• if you obey and
• do what pleases him (in line with God's will)
• does not mean that you can have anything you want
• Answers to prayers can be “yes”, “no” or “wait”

• Often we waver between faith and
fear.
• When you feel so discouraged that
no one understands, remember
that God knows every problem and
sees every tear.

16. No Matter What Happens,
He Never Abandon Us

• God is with us ("I am with you”)

• God gives us assurance of his strength, help, and
victory over sin and death

• He surprises us by sending something delightful
• A surprise call from a friend
• An unexpected gift or kind gesture
• This was totally spontaneous, entirely their own
idea, and caught us completely off guard. What
explains it was that they had first given themselves
unreservedly to God and to us. The other giving
simply flowed out of the purposes of God working
