Target Audience Profile
Pop-It is a magazine targeted at 13-18 year old girls. They are seen to have a keen
interest in the latest music and artists. They listen to the latest artists such as; One
Direction, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift... They also usually have an obsession
with an artist and are able to use social networking sites in order to know what is going
on with them and key information for example when the next album is coming out or
who they are dating. They may have an obsession with artists such as Jessie J, Bruno
Mars, Union J... The customer of my magazine is still at school, secondary school. She
is someone who is more into creative and social subjects such as; media, graphics,
sociology, PE… They are more practical rather than academic, being on grades around
B/C. They like school due to them being able to see friends and catch up on the latest
gossip. They also like to be creative and love to learn new things in their favourite
subjects. On the way to and the way back from school she always has her earphones
in, listening to the latest music on her phone; One Direction, Magic, Miley Cyrus…
Music is her passion and she listens to it everyday as it accompanies her life; the songs
she listens to change according to her mood. She is either in love or broken hearted
and pop music helps her deal with either one of them. She finds pop music inspiring,
entertaining and helpful and she idolises many pop artists. The reader of “Pop-It” enjoys
shopping and is looking for sales. She enjoys reading “Pop-It” with her friends, taking
quizzes and she is probably looking for true love, although she is young. She loves
getting fashion advice from her favourite pop artists and is constantly trying to learn how
to dress like them.
She loves going out with friends, shopping, cinema, cafe, to a mates house, parties…
she is a very social character and loves to keep herself busy. She loves her fashion
which she gets from the latest artists such as Jessie J and Miley Cyrus. She will go out
shopping every other weekend to look for good deals and sales in her favourite shops
such as, USC, River Island, New Look, Primark, Tk Maxx, Blue Ink… In between the
two weeks, she will be on the internet looking for sales on the websites. As well as
shopping she loves watching films with friends at the cinema or watching them at home
on her laptop. She loves romantic films, action films, adventure films and the odd
musicals.
In her spare time she reads her favourite pop magazines as she is into pop music. She
reads We Love Pop and Top Of The Pops as they are the best pop music magazines
out right now. She loves to read about her favourite artists and the latest gossip about
them. She also likes to read about the newest songs and albums right now, she loves to
listen to new songs and loves to be able to add new songs to her phone so that she can
listen to music whenever she wants. In addition the customer loves the advice section
which is towards the end of the magazine. This may be about boys, fashion, study…
She may be having some trouble with friends or a boy so this is where she can go to get
help and advice. Pop magazines suit her the best due to her liking pop music and the
topics which are covered in pop magazines.

On the way to and the way back from school she always has her earphones in, listening to the latest music on her phone; One Direction, Magic, Miley Cyrus… Music is her passion and she listens to it everyday as it accompanies her life; the songs she listens to change according to her mood. She is either in love or broken hearted and pop music helps her deal with either one of them. She finds pop music inspiring, entertaining and helpful and she idolises many pop artists.
