3. The Life Transformation House model is a pathway to sustainability, for families ready and willing to participate in this intensive, transformative process that incorporates teaching, training, coaching and mentoring within the Life Systems Architecturedeveloped by Erl Morrell-Stinson.

4. In this dream, I see two Life Transformation Houses started within driving distance of the Twin Cities area – that each result in more Life Transformation Houses being formed. Each house holds two or more participating families each plus S.I.I. certified"Life Transformation Facilitator(s)." These houses have plenty of space to accommodate each family, to allow for privacy as well as shared space. A family who wants to participate, walks through a qualifying process that includes some front-end intention and integrity work. Those who qualify ( based on a high level of intention and the ability to keep agreements ) will be assigned to a House, and a Facilitator, for 12 months. There will be specific pass-through points every quarter, and the opportunity to renew the commitment for another 12 months if all points of qualification have been met. Members of this family will go through an intense educative process that emphasizes experiential learning (reflexive) in real world projects - that include a combination of community service, business, and gainful employment. The outcome is a sustainable family (each member having the ability to create value for others) and a home of their own, within 12-24 months; and a significant positive impact on the local community (community prosperity.) The Life Transformation House Story By Christy Morrell-Stinson This dream has unfolded over the course of 2010. In February 2011, I traveled to Chicago on a limousine bus trip with 52 women from the Minneapolis area, to participate in a Dream University Workshop with Marcia Wieder. I shared this dream with my workshop companions and got specific feedback.

5. Participating Families… This process will work well for families who are ready and willing to go through this intensive transformation process. Not every family is ready and willing to go through this process, many families will be better served by other programs or resources. This is a private process that works just like the process of renting a room to a particular type of person. The participating family leaders are defined as a husband and wife, a single mom, or a single dad. There may be childrenin the family, and there may be pets. There may be other relatives who have been part of the family unit, such as a grandparent, aunt or uncle. These are people who have lived a ‘middle-class’ lifestyle but have experienced some kind of set-back that has resulted in the loss of their home, such as unemployment. Chronic homelessness will be better served by a program designed specifically for that situation.

7. Sustainable Families – Defined As… The primary outcome is a sustainable family with a home of their own, within 12-24 months. Each family member has the ability to create significant value for others Each family member has a clear sense of purpose and understands how to live with intention, a simple joyful life Each family member has the ability to create and manage money (financial literacy) The family credit reports have been repaired and scores are healthy! Each family member is willing and able to pass on what they have learned, to pay it forward…- even to start the next house!

8. Community Prosperity The secondary outcomes are around the idea of the family actively participating in ongoing community prosperity. The family is creating significant value within the local community through community service, gainful employment, and entrepreneurial business. The family is involved with a Leadership Transformation Circle that includes four or more other members of the community who demonstrate active leadership.

10. Assumptions about the House Itself A housing facility will qualify if all these things are true: The owner(s) will commit to this process for at least 2 years. The owner(s) are able to sustain the utility costs, property taxes, and mortgage payments (if any) for the full two years - if necessary. The owner(s) understand the first goal of the program is that all housing costs will be sustained by the participating family(s) over four stages: Stage 1: Utilities (within 3 months) Stage 2: Property Taxes (within 6 months) Stage 3: Market Rent (within 9 months) Stage 4: Property Improvements (within 12 months)

Assumptions about the Onsite Facilitators One family (husband and wife and children if any) will act as Onsite Facilitators: This family will provide daily and weekly facilitation of the Life Transformation Core Team, providing coaching and mentoring in partnership with the external team, who they recruit and involve. This family will provide this in return for living onsite without charge. All housing costs will be covered by the owners of the facility until the participating family(s) are able to cover them in the four stages allowed for.

Application Process By invitation only: private referral Family leaders request appointment with an Intake Coordinator All adults in household attend first appointment Family and coordinator walk through the application process, including family financials, and signed agreement for background check and full credit report This is about a 2 hour process Application: Story: Where are you now and how did you get here? Vision: What do you want instead? Intention: Why? Virtues and Values: What is important to you? What do you hold dear? Principles and Beliefs: What do you hold to be true? How is this operating in your life? ExpectationsWhat are your expectations regarding the program?

26. B. Qualification Process A conversational process that walks through a list of questions and allows the family leaders to reflect and respond, and the intake coordinator to get to know the family and make recommendations. Not a ‘program’ qualification like a typical county assistance qualification process that only requires facts and figures. A standard background check and credit check is handled by the intake coordinator in partnership with a financial (credit) counselor. A very human process that honors the people involved and provides a set of resources to take the next steps based on what is best for this particular family. This includes access to credit counseling, financial and tax planning, and the like. Not everyone will qualify to participate in the LFTH program – this is made clear up front. There is no failure. There are best options based on personal fit. Once qualified, the participating family will be introduced to the facilitator family.

27. Qualification Points: Story: Personal responsibility is demonstrated in the way the story is told. Family leaders do not blame others or play the victim. Vision: There is a strong desire for a better future – even if the actual vision of that future may not be clear yet. Intention: There is a willingness to step into a pro active “co-creative” role in life, rather than allowing life to happen by default (victim-hood.) Destructive lifestyle problems such as drug or alcohol addiction, will be better served by other programs, designed specifically for these situations. Virtues and Values: Open and transparent communication that includes essential values such as honesty and integrity. Principles and Beliefs: There is a willingness to take an honest look at the operating principles (like sowing and reaping, for example) that have led to the current situation. There is also a willingness to look at the role of personal beliefs that may be creating limitations – and to shift to a more useful set of beliefs.

Orientation The terms and conditions of the house lease are reviewed as every member of the family tours the house A house occupancy and maintenance plan is drafted to detail out who exactly will occupy and care for which areas of the house House rules are clearly reviewed by every member of the family Tier 0, 1, 2, and 3 financials are decided on and committed to Tier 0 = Survival Income Level for family essentials Tier 1 = House Utility Costs Tier 2 = Property Tax Costs Tier 3 = Market Rent The official lease containing these specific addendums is signed by all legal adults in the household including the facilitator family

Agreements Initial Agreement The Owner(s) and Facilitator Family work out a lease of the property, based on a Life Transformation House Lease Template Addendum terms are agreed upon in advance, covering the four stages of housing expenses to be covered by the program Participating Family Agreement All agreements made during the Orientation process are signed and reviewed by the Facilitator Family, and the Owner(s). House rules are posted in the common area.
