FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Hardworking producer leaves Ohio for the big leagues
Chicago, Illinois, February 10, 2011-Columbus native, Thomas Confar decided to transfer to Columbia
College Chicago from the University of Cincinnati to pursue a career in Audio Production/Marketing
Communication. Confar is an online producer that makes his dollar bills unconventionally through
PayPal. He creates instrumentals and sells them to artists/songwriters who need instrumentals to record
over. While this is a job, Confar said he enjoys making music; it’s his passion. He hopes to work with big
name clients in the music industry at some point in his career. Confar has been selling music since April
2010 and he sees no end in sight.
Confar makes all kinds of instrumentals. For example his website includes Hip Hop, R&B, and Film
instrumentals. We asked Chicago native rapper,Austin Fillmore who Confar works in-house for about his
Confar’s production. Fillmore said, “Tommy is unique, the guy likes to push the envelope between
ambient and mainstream. I like his beats because they create an atmosphere for me to write in.”
Another in house artist J-illa, that Confar works with said, “Tommy goes out of his way to make sure
every aspect of his instrumental has been properly mixed; I’m glad I get to work with him.” Confar works
hard to please his customers and it shows through his customer satisfaction.
Confar’s website can be found at, www.TommyConfar.com. His site has reached over 65k song plays
and over 11k site views. Through his website, artists and songwriters can purchase Confar’s
instrumentals by using thePayPal button set up on the right side of his page. Also, Confar has links to his
Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and E-mail account on his site. TommyConfar.com loads quickly and is
simple to navigate through.
Confar has found what he wants to do with his life. Even better, he has acted upon it but he still feels as
if he has a ways to go. In his future he hopes to both be working with big name clients and doing more in
house production for local artists. He wants to use his website as a form of a resume to show potential
clients what he is capable of instead of relying on his site to generate revenue.
