2. Evaluation of Conger LH lubricant and
corrosion prohibitor
• The product being tested combines the
properties of a lubricant, a rust
prohibitor, and also a water repellent
• It contains no
solvents, CFCs, VOCs, silicone, or propellants
• Is completely non-toxic and safe
– for the environment
– for the people who use it

3. • An extremely corrosive area on our Aircraft
Carriers are the Overflow Boxes
– Hard to access and maintain
– Hinged flapper valve prone to crevice corrosion
– Exposed to Seawater and corrosive gases
– Design results in constant retention of water and
concentration of salts
• Conger LH was applied to the hinged areas in the
overflow box and to the stainless pin as well as the
threaded studs on the void closure
– Several studs were cleaned and others remained with
existing corrosion intact
