17. What will we be doing there?
Making connections is a key activity for your networked
research, though not the only one. Once a connection is
established you need to feed it, strengthen it and shake it for
results. So in this colloquium we will focus on the activities that
young scholars should develop in order to build effective
networks, from network funding strategies (e.g. how to
engage/apply for funds at an international level) to the
expectations and mechanisms that make a research network
succeed. Furthermore, the ‘Early Career Community’ wants to
offer a possibility for networking, knowledge exchange and
project promoting.

Where: University of Almería, Spain.
Who: Early Career Scholars in all fields of management.
Why: Share experiences, network, and reflect on key early career challenges
and opportunities.
When: 29th- 31st of January, 2014
Theme: Shaking your network!!!
How: To secure a place at the Almería EECC please send an e-mail with your CV
and brief details of current and possible future research projects to
mivalls@ual.es
Deadline: Please note that while the final date for registration is 1st
December, places are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-
served basis.
Cost: Registration fee of EUR 300.00 to cover accommodation (3 nights), every
lunch and dinner, coffee breaks, the “Winter-Olympic” adventure and
the great colloquium dinner.
