Introduction
Illegal migration into the United States has recently been on a
massive scale. As the population of these illegal immigrants
continues to increase, several challenges arise. These challenges
come in various dimensions ranging from economic to socio-
political challenges. It is, therefore, prudent to provide a
succinct solution to these challenges lest the impact of illegal
migration would be more perilous in the United States of
America than earlier anticipated.
With increased levels of globalization, both terrorism and
illegal immigration have been significantly enhanced (Correa-
Cabrera & Rojas-Arenaza, 2012, p. 28). Efforts to deal with and
provide an amicable solution to these fundamental problems
associated with these challenges have attracted both the senate
and the house of Congress significantly. This is primary
because any neglect to peer into these issues would ideally
affect the economy of the United States as well as the socio-
economic and political setups among the citizens of the United
States of America. What can, therefore, be done to ensure due
address to these key challenges?
Efforts have been put by the house of the congress trying to
craft a comprehensive law that would address the key
challenges of illegal migration into the United States. However,
full success of the implementation of these laws has neither
been realized (Fialho, 2016, p. 87). However, there is some
degree of success in as far as the Congress concerns addressing
the real issues of immigration due to the implementation and
operation of such comprehensive laws. Besides, there has been a
severe neglect on the most favored policy of benign neglect in
the recent past. It is apparently no longer tenable in the view
and perspective of current US address priorities to the issues of
illegal immigration.
Several efforts are currently being employed to try addressing
the problems and challenges related to illegal migration in the
United States. These include changes in the policy at places of
employment and various sectors of the entire economy of the
United States. Examples of these policy changes include things
such as improving the levels of security at workplaces, ensuring
proper and thorough verification of the employees by their
prospective employers, establishment of new guest worker
program, and offering amnesty to illegal immigrants who are
found to be living in the United States of America.
A key focus is, however, on the success of the implementation
of these policies and reforms. To ensure the accomplishment
and success of these reforms and policies, there must be a
comprehensive immigration reform in place (Filindra & Kovács,
2011, p. 93). These reforms should be extensively ideological as
well as significantly lopsided to address issues especially on the
security at the borders and various points of entry such as the
airports and the harbors in the United States of America. At the
same time, serious concerns should be put in place to ensure
that worker verification at places of work is duly enhanced and
followed strictly.
The US Congress should also be mandated to be keen on
passing the laws that promulgate status quo. Through the
expansion of the operation of such laws, nothing much can be
achieved in addressing the real issues resulting from illegal
migration. One of the key challenges to addressing the issues of
illegal immigration into the United States of America has been
the fundamental contradictions of the laws of status quo. As a
result, it is prudent recognizing that it is only through thinking
and brainstorming into various incentives and ideas that will be
a key to the ultimate success in addressing the issues of illegal
migration into the United States of America.
Exposing The Real Issues of Illegal Migration in the US
Currently, approximately more than ten million immigrants
reside in the US. The citizenship of this huge number of
population is undocumented and cannot be verified in any of the
records in various concerned state departments in the US.
Besides, it is anticipated that the alien population continues to
grow exponentially at a rate of about 700,000 people every
year. This high population increase in the number of aliens in
the US has consistently proved to be a testament to the
attractiveness of the life in the United States of America.
Several insights and analysis have been explored into the core
reasons for such a big influx of aliens into the country.
Nevertheless, reports have shown that a significant proportion
has resulted from the dangerous opening of the borders of the
US perhaps for trade purposes or any other reason. This influx
could be advantageous and at the same time disadvantageous to
both the economy and the welfare of citizens of the country as
well.
Typically, most of the undocumented migrants who come to the
United States look for better jobs. When they get the jobs that
are perceived and indeed true to be better paying about their
native countries, they add some value to the economy of the
country. At the same time, as they actively increase the value to
the economy of the country, they also significantly take away
the value by weakening the legal as well as the national security
systems in the country (Moore, 2008, p. 56). The fact that
several millions of aliens have their presence in the United
States undocumented is a critical point. However, this improper
lack of documentation, they resort to severe distortion of the
law and distraction of resources. Other than creating more
pressure on the available resources to the citizens of the United
States, they also come in handy in creating serious hideouts and
cover for terrorist and criminals. This is ideally the greatest
challenge among issues related to illegal migration in the
United States of America.
An aggregate of the key challenges of illegal migration into the
United States of America is the problem of security.
Though the supposed economic threat may also be considered,
security takes the central focus. Due efforts are currently being
curtailed to address the issue of economic influx through
driving of the individual immigrants into the underground.
However, this has just ended up worsening the dilemma of
security through extensive promotion of the culture of
illegality. Implementation of the rightful programs such as the
adoption of the non-citizen guest worker program is some of the
essential strategies and components that can duly help in
securing the borders of the United States and thereby bringing
some prudent solution to the challenge of increased insecurity.
Intelligent crafting of guest worker program is paramount.
Various scopes can also be adopted in crafting such a program
to ensure its effectiveness in adequately addressing the issue.
Several principles have to be complied with including setting an
eye to the various economic incentives that are involved.
Though effectively analyzing and incorporating these economic
incentives, a wider scope is allowed for coming up with a more
comprehensive guest worker program, which will ultimately
help in solving the increased influx of aliens through the
borders of the United States of America (Žvaliauskas & Šarkutė,
2016, p. 38). Therefore, an effective guest worker program is
very fundamental in addressing the issue of security related to
illegal immigration in the US.
Benefit Analysis: Immigration Importance and Costs.
Economically, the American economy is honestly acknowledged
to have benefited immensely from the immigration of aliens into
the country. The supply of goods and services has extensively
grown in the United States of America, and the entire business
community is undoubtedly opposed to a very simple crackdown.
There are also related inflation on some fundamental necessities
for human survival and some general economic costs. Ideally,
some things such as the cost of social insurance are not worth
mentioning as these would exist whether aliens were present or
not.
On the other hand, there has been a serious argument that the
immigrants have consistently contributed to the deterioration of
the economy of the United States. This is a baseless argument
and should be dismissed out of hand, as a keen and profound
insight reveals the immense contribution of the foreign citizens
into the prosperity of the economy of the United States of
America.
According to Stephen Moore in his article, The Wall Street
Journal, the current population of the united states consists of
over 12% of the alien population born in America. However, the
economy is still robust and booming with very high Gross
Domestic Product per individual citizen. This can be highly
used to dismiss the folly allegation of the immigrants hurting
the economy of the US when in the real sense and economic
outlook the economy is not hurting. This trend of the
improvement of the economic status has been consistent for the
past few decades and while the immigrants are in the United
States of America.
Both the low-skilled and high-skilled immigrants who stay in
the US contributes immensely in boosting the national out as
well as providing an increased value of the net economic
benefit. Besides, they play significant roles in enhancing
specialization levels, which is a key strategy for improving the
economic performance of the United States of America.
There are also several macroeconomic benefits attached to the
existence of the immigrants in the economy of the United
States. For example, several individuals with good backgrounds
in science, engineering, as well as information technology get
employed in the United States of America from other countries.
When they are in-sourced and finally take up the job contracts,
they significantly add up to the economy through payment of
domestic taxes, which apparently do not happen in cases where
the job is outsourced. This is a significant impact that makes
immigration of foreign citizens in the United States not to be
taken for granted as it immensely contributes to the
development of the economy.
Conclusion
In a nutshell, the issues relating to immigration in the United
States can be viewed in various scopes. While capitalizing on
the challenges associated with immigration of alien population
into the country such as increased insecurity and terrorism, it is
also prudent to explore the various socio-economic benefits
then focus on the rolling out extensive programs that will duly
and effectively address the issues relating to this phenomenon
in the United States of America.

Running Head ISSUES REGARDING IMMIGRATION1Issues Regardi.docx

  • 1. Running Head: ISSUES REGARDING IMMIGRATION 1 Issues Regarding Immigration 7 Issues Regarding Immigration Student’s Name Institution Introduction Illegal migration into the United States has recently been on a massive scale. As the population of these illegal immigrants continues to increase, several challenges arise. These challenges come in various dimensions ranging from economic to socio- political challenges. It is, therefore, prudent to provide a succinct solution to these challenges lest the impact of illegal migration would be more perilous in the United States of America than earlier anticipated. With increased levels of globalization, both terrorism and illegal immigration have been significantly enhanced (Correa-
  • 2. Cabrera & Rojas-Arenaza, 2012, p. 28). Efforts to deal with and provide an amicable solution to these fundamental problems associated with these challenges have attracted both the senate and the house of Congress significantly. This is primary because any neglect to peer into these issues would ideally affect the economy of the United States as well as the socio- economic and political setups among the citizens of the United States of America. What can, therefore, be done to ensure due address to these key challenges? Efforts have been put by the house of the congress trying to craft a comprehensive law that would address the key challenges of illegal migration into the United States. However, full success of the implementation of these laws has neither been realized (Fialho, 2016, p. 87). However, there is some degree of success in as far as the Congress concerns addressing the real issues of immigration due to the implementation and operation of such comprehensive laws. Besides, there has been a severe neglect on the most favored policy of benign neglect in the recent past. It is apparently no longer tenable in the view and perspective of current US address priorities to the issues of illegal immigration. Several efforts are currently being employed to try addressing the problems and challenges related to illegal migration in the United States. These include changes in the policy at places of employment and various sectors of the entire economy of the United States. Examples of these policy changes include things such as improving the levels of security at workplaces, ensuring proper and thorough verification of the employees by their prospective employers, establishment of new guest worker program, and offering amnesty to illegal immigrants who are found to be living in the United States of America. A key focus is, however, on the success of the implementation of these policies and reforms. To ensure the accomplishment and success of these reforms and policies, there must be a comprehensive immigration reform in place (Filindra & Kovács, 2011, p. 93). These reforms should be extensively ideological as
  • 3. well as significantly lopsided to address issues especially on the security at the borders and various points of entry such as the airports and the harbors in the United States of America. At the same time, serious concerns should be put in place to ensure that worker verification at places of work is duly enhanced and followed strictly. The US Congress should also be mandated to be keen on passing the laws that promulgate status quo. Through the expansion of the operation of such laws, nothing much can be achieved in addressing the real issues resulting from illegal migration. One of the key challenges to addressing the issues of illegal immigration into the United States of America has been the fundamental contradictions of the laws of status quo. As a result, it is prudent recognizing that it is only through thinking and brainstorming into various incentives and ideas that will be a key to the ultimate success in addressing the issues of illegal migration into the United States of America. Exposing The Real Issues of Illegal Migration in the US Currently, approximately more than ten million immigrants reside in the US. The citizenship of this huge number of population is undocumented and cannot be verified in any of the records in various concerned state departments in the US. Besides, it is anticipated that the alien population continues to grow exponentially at a rate of about 700,000 people every year. This high population increase in the number of aliens in the US has consistently proved to be a testament to the attractiveness of the life in the United States of America. Several insights and analysis have been explored into the core reasons for such a big influx of aliens into the country. Nevertheless, reports have shown that a significant proportion has resulted from the dangerous opening of the borders of the US perhaps for trade purposes or any other reason. This influx could be advantageous and at the same time disadvantageous to both the economy and the welfare of citizens of the country as well. Typically, most of the undocumented migrants who come to the
  • 4. United States look for better jobs. When they get the jobs that are perceived and indeed true to be better paying about their native countries, they add some value to the economy of the country. At the same time, as they actively increase the value to the economy of the country, they also significantly take away the value by weakening the legal as well as the national security systems in the country (Moore, 2008, p. 56). The fact that several millions of aliens have their presence in the United States undocumented is a critical point. However, this improper lack of documentation, they resort to severe distortion of the law and distraction of resources. Other than creating more pressure on the available resources to the citizens of the United States, they also come in handy in creating serious hideouts and cover for terrorist and criminals. This is ideally the greatest challenge among issues related to illegal migration in the United States of America. An aggregate of the key challenges of illegal migration into the United States of America is the problem of security. Though the supposed economic threat may also be considered, security takes the central focus. Due efforts are currently being curtailed to address the issue of economic influx through driving of the individual immigrants into the underground. However, this has just ended up worsening the dilemma of security through extensive promotion of the culture of illegality. Implementation of the rightful programs such as the adoption of the non-citizen guest worker program is some of the essential strategies and components that can duly help in securing the borders of the United States and thereby bringing some prudent solution to the challenge of increased insecurity. Intelligent crafting of guest worker program is paramount. Various scopes can also be adopted in crafting such a program to ensure its effectiveness in adequately addressing the issue. Several principles have to be complied with including setting an eye to the various economic incentives that are involved. Though effectively analyzing and incorporating these economic incentives, a wider scope is allowed for coming up with a more
  • 5. comprehensive guest worker program, which will ultimately help in solving the increased influx of aliens through the borders of the United States of America (Žvaliauskas & Šarkutė, 2016, p. 38). Therefore, an effective guest worker program is very fundamental in addressing the issue of security related to illegal immigration in the US. Benefit Analysis: Immigration Importance and Costs. Economically, the American economy is honestly acknowledged to have benefited immensely from the immigration of aliens into the country. The supply of goods and services has extensively grown in the United States of America, and the entire business community is undoubtedly opposed to a very simple crackdown. There are also related inflation on some fundamental necessities for human survival and some general economic costs. Ideally, some things such as the cost of social insurance are not worth mentioning as these would exist whether aliens were present or not. On the other hand, there has been a serious argument that the immigrants have consistently contributed to the deterioration of the economy of the United States. This is a baseless argument and should be dismissed out of hand, as a keen and profound insight reveals the immense contribution of the foreign citizens into the prosperity of the economy of the United States of America. According to Stephen Moore in his article, The Wall Street Journal, the current population of the united states consists of over 12% of the alien population born in America. However, the economy is still robust and booming with very high Gross Domestic Product per individual citizen. This can be highly used to dismiss the folly allegation of the immigrants hurting the economy of the US when in the real sense and economic outlook the economy is not hurting. This trend of the improvement of the economic status has been consistent for the past few decades and while the immigrants are in the United States of America. Both the low-skilled and high-skilled immigrants who stay in

Besides, they play significant roles in enhancing specialization levels, which is a key strategy for improving the economic performance of the United States of America. There are also several macroeconomic benefits attached to the existence of the immigrants in the economy of the United States. For example, several individuals with good backgrounds in science, engineering, as well as information technology get employed in the United States of America from other countries. When they are in-sourced and finally take up the job contracts, they significantly add up to the economy through payment of domestic taxes, which apparently do not happen in cases where the job is outsourced. This is a significant impact that makes immigration of foreign citizens in the United States not to be taken for granted as it immensely contributes to the development of the economy. Conclusion In a nutshell, the issues relating to immigration in the United States can be viewed in various scopes. While capitalizing on the challenges associated with immigration of alien population into the country such as increased insecurity and terrorism, it is also prudent to explore the various socio-economic benefits then focus on the rolling out extensive programs that will duly and effectively address the issues relating to this phenomenon in the United States of America.
