2. TEIDE
The Teide is a volcano located in the
island of Tenerife in Canarias. It has
a height of 3.718 metres above sea
level and 7.500 metres underneath
the sea. Is the highest summit of
Spain and the third oldest volcano in
the world. The Teide National Park is
the most visited in Spain. It was
called Echeyde . Marines and people
travelling by the sea could see its
summit from 40 leagues. Its last
eruption was in 1798.
3. CATHEDRAL OF SANTIAGO.
The Cathedral of Santiago is situated
in Santiago de Compostela (La
Coruña), in Galicia, on the northwest
of Spain.
Inside we can see the tomb of
apostle Santiago. This fact attracts
thousand of pilgrims from all over the
world that arrive to its doors after a
hard walking or biking trip. The
church, constructed in 1075, is a
mixture of Romanesque, Gothic and
Baroque elements
4. PUERTA DEL SOL
The “Puerta del sol” is a square from
Madrid (Capital of Spain). The 0
kilometer is located in this square from
1.950. Every spanish road starts from
this point.
The oldest building in the square is
“The Post House”. Above this building
we can find the famous clock and the
bell tower. These are worldwide
known because of their twelve strikes
welcoming in the New Year while
everyone eats twelve grapes.
5. NATURAL PARK FROM CABÁRCENO
It's located in the north of Spain, 17 Km
from Santander and it's situated in an old
mine dedicated to the extraction of iron.
The park develops activities related to the
protection of endangered species. It's
known for its semi-freedom system for
some animals. You can see deers,fallows
bears or monkey. Besides, it features
botanical routes allowing you to see
different kinds of plants . It opened in
1989 .
6. AQUEDUCT FROM SEGOVIA
It is situated in the west of Spain,in
Castilla y León. It is the best known
bridges from the ancient roman
times. It was built in the first - second
centuries. Its mission was to bring
water from the river Frío. It is formed
by 44 big archs and 119 smaller
archs.
It measures 760 meters long and 30
meters high.

7. ROMAN THEATRE FROM MÉRIDA
It is located in the west of Spain, in
Extremadura. It is a jewel from the ancient
roman architecture. It is over two
thousand years old. It began to be built in
16 a.c.
It has a capacity for five thousand and
eight hundred people and its diameter is
ninety five metres. It has thirteen doors
and two more for entering the scene.
There is a porticoed garden behind the
scene. Nowadays, official acts, concerts
and classic stage plays are represented in
this place.

8. MOSQUE FROM CÓRDOBA
This a temple from the city of Córdoba
(Andalucía). It is one of the most
important in Spain. It began to be built
as a Mosque in 785 by the Muslims.
Since the 13rd century to now It is a
catholic church . It was the biggest
Mosque of the world after “La Mecca”.
His mihrab, located on the wall of qibla,
is not oriented towards La Mecca but
towards the south as the Great
Mosque of Damascus.
9. ALHAMBRA FROM GRANADA
The Alhambra is an andalusi palatial town
located in Granada (Andalucía) .It is
situated at the top of Sabika Hill, one of the
highest place in the city. It consists of a set
of palaces, gardens and fortress. It was
built in 1.238 as a royal residence. Granada
was the last Muslim kingdom in Spain.
It was the most visited monument in 2.011
with the historic amount of 2.310.764
visitors.
10. THE CITY OF ARTS AND SCIENCE
The City of Arts and Science is an
architectural, cultural and amusement
complex in the city of Valencia, on the
east of Spain. It was designed by
Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela. It
was built in 1980. It consists of, among
other facilities, an aquarium, an
interactive museum and a planetary. It
is currently one of the most important
and spectacular modern art buildings
in the world.
11. PRADO MUSEUM
It is located in the centre of Madrid. It is one of
the most famous museum in the world. It was
built in 1786.
It includes paintings from Velázquez ,el Greco,
Dalí, Picasso, Goya, Murillo, Tiziano, Rubens… It
has a big collection of paintings from the
greatest european artists between 16th and
19th century. Pictorial Schools from Spain,
Flanders and Italy are widely represented in
this place. There is also some french, german,
british and dutch painting (Rembrandt).
12. Giralda is the name of the bell tower
from the Santa Maria Cathedral in
Seville (Andalucía). This is the biggest
gothic cathedral in the world.
Giralda is 94’69 meters high.It was the
tallest tower in Spain for centuries. It was
built by the Muslims in the 12nd century
although it was changed several times
later. The current bell tower was built in
the 16th century.

13. SACRED FAMILY
This church was located in Barcelona. It
began to be built by Antonio Gaudí in
1882 (still under construction).
Gaudí’s work, the principal facade and
the crypt, was declared World Heritage
by UNESCO in 2015. The temple was
consecrated and declared Basilica
Menor by the Pope Benedicto XVI.
It was the third most visited place in
Spain, after the Alhambra and Prado.
