At the 2009 TCEA Conference in Austin, Texas, I presented on how I use Monthly PDF assignments via my class website as part of my curriculum. These are the slides from that presentation.
18. Find your Username. If you are not listed, contact your technology department and ask for one.
19. From my user site, I click on the + sign to add a new entry and upload my pdf assignments,
20. After logging in, you’ll get a pop-up box asking for a title for your new entry.
21. Delete the placeholder and enter your own text introducing the Monthly PDF Assignment. Images can also be added to this entry.
22. When you have finished with your entry, choose the icon that indicates “attach a file”. A pop-up window will allow you to browse your files for your pdf.
26. Repeat this process until all three documents are attached. Then click Save.
27. To link to your website, put your cursor on top of each document and right click. Choose “Copy Link Location”. This will be the hyperlink that you attach at your website. So let’s go to the website.
28. Once you select the target of the link and the icon to attach the url . . .

I have been teaching at White Oak for 25 years. During those years I’ve taught the Primary Writing Lab, Intermediate G/T, Title I Reading, and Special Education. I am currently the Response to Intervention Case Manager and Sp Ed Coordinator for the White Oak Intermediate Campus. While I’ve enjoyed a quarter of a century teaching children, I can tell you that the last 7 years have absolutely been the most exciting for teaching as well as learning due to the daily incorporation of technology into my classroom.
