Asia and Pacific is the main consuming area of this segment, with a 39% weight on the total market, followed by North America and Europe, holding a 35% and 20% share respectively. More specifically, a large share of world mattress consumption takes place in seven countries only: the US, China, Brazil, Germany, India, Canada and France. According to CSIL estimates, over 200 million mattresses are produced worldwide every year. With one third of total production, China is the leading manufacturer and the best performer in the past ten years, thanks to the increasing local market and the expansion of export flows.
