Invitation to Corporations to participate in a College & Career Fair sponsored by the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo.

Dear Director Corporate Recruiting,
On behalf of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Tours Committee, I would like to invite you
to participate in the 2012 Ag4U Day College and Career Fair on Monday, March 5, 2012 from 9:00
a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Over 2,000 students from the greater Houston Metro area are expected to attend
the 2012 event, hosted at Reliant Center during the 2012 Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
The theme of the 2012 AG4U Day is, AG4U: Road Map to Your Career. This one day event focuses
students on agriculture related programs and opportunities across the state of Texas, with
emphasis on peer-to-peer interaction. Attended by a diverse group of high school students,
ranging from inner city high school students to 4-H and FFA state and national officers, the event
includes interactive workshops, a town hall style forum, and a college and career fair designed to
introduce students to industry experts and representatives from universities across the state.
The College and Career Fair will be a “round robin” arrangement, and we will provide a banquet-
size rectangular table for your display and presentation materials. Materials may not be attached
to or leaned against the Reliant Center structure, so please be sure signs, etc. are self-supporting.
You will have access to electrical outlets but will need to bring your own extension cord.
Light refreshments will be available for you throughout the day. Informational materials such as
posters, displays, brochures, etc. may be distributed to the students. If you would like to donate
door prizes to be given to students during Ag4U Forum, please bring them to the College and
Career Fair and a committee volunteer will be there to collect the items. Kids love free stuff, so
any item is appreciated!
Our goal is to share with the participating students the important message that Texas’ agri-
conomy provides exceptional career opportunities to their generation as well as the chance to
make a positive impact in their communities. Please join us and take advantage of a great venue
to meet and inform the future leaders of our state! We look forward to seeing you on March 5!
