5. 1. Logo: The Channel 4 logo is positioned on the right hand side of the
advert in the middle of the page on all four adverts shown. Our
documentary will be shown on Channel 4 therefore we must make sure
that the logo is positioned in the same place on our print advert.
1. The Main Image: This is always a simple but striking single image.
Which can often be either funny or shocking. It gives the audience an in-
sight into what the documentary is about. For example; the second
image shows a child struggling to stay about the ground, as adults walk
by without any concern. This directly links to the title of the show
‘Britain’s forgotten Children’. Therefore our image needs to directly link to
the topic of sweets and inform the audience of the subject of our
documentary.
6. 3. Text: The text is in a simple font on all four of the adverts. The
scheduling information is positioned directly below the title, all of which is
positioned in the bottom left hand corner of the advert. The text is
surrounded by a block of colour, therefore when we create our advert we
must make sure that our text is positioned in the correct place and that a
block of colour is surrounding it.
4. Colour Theme: There is a colour theme in each individual advert. The
Channel 4 logo and the block of colour behind the title and scheduling
information is always the same colour. Therefore in our print advert we
must follow this code and convention and have the logo and colour block
the same.
