Feminist scholars have critiqued anthropology's traditional methods for perpetuating the oppression of women. Feminists adopted ethnographic research methods to give voice to women's experiences but encountered issues with representation and power dynamics between the researcher and subjects. The authors conclude that feminist scholarship and research methods must address these issues of representation, power, and social justice.
