This technical presentation outlines CWM Survey & Inspection's pre-shipment inspection services for recyclables exported to developing countries. It provides an introduction to CWM's history and activities, including its contract with the Indonesian government to conduct mandatory inspections of scrap metals, waste paper, plastics and rubber being shipped from Europe. 9. CWM Survey & Inspection’s contract with Indonesian
Government
CWM concluded a contract with the Indonesian state owned company KSO
Sucofindo. KSO Sucofindo belongs to the Department of Trade and is part of a
program which is released to protect macro economic growth. CWM Survey &
Inspection is accredited by the Indonesian Government. CWM has been granted the
sole and exclusive right of pre-shipment inspection of consignments of scrap
metal, waste paper, scrap plastics and rubber scrap from Europe and “former Eastern
Europe” to Indonesia.
