79. Suggested standards to follow when
using and entering data at the DCC
1. Date and time stamp all comments and indicate what changes were
done. This is your only record of changes on the DCC!
2. Give clear repeater location descriptions and access requirements.
3. Only use common abbreviations.
4. Decide on time format when setting time in DCC
-GMT, Local, or Other time format
10. Examples of data that will effect sorting are:
a. Site name
b. Property ID
c. Building Names (Bldg 3, Bldg 03, Building 3)
d. Phone formats (303)758-8759, 303-758-8759, etc.
Be aware of data that effects sorting & BE CONSISTANT

Notes de l'éditeur Information used later on e.g. when entering a comment with a date and time stamp as well as in “Last Modified” and in “Last Published” data fields. Here we assume the site setup has been performed by another party. The Files are available on disk or on the network and we restore the from a backup. The file name begins with the name of a property. In the example”alpha1”. The screen requesting the password may not come up if PC has been pre-configured for passwords. Enter password manually if prompted. The default is “INOVONICS”. Data can only be entered under “Edit”-side of program. As the name implies, under the “View”-side one can only have a look at the data. The data under “Global Defaults” you don’t have to enter manually but rather choose from drop-down menus. In case of failure resend data until successful, unless DCC is disabled.
