Personality is just one of many factors that guide our behavior. Our actions are also influenced by Our environment, Our experiences, and Our individual goals. 16 personality types are based on five independent spectrums, with all letters in the type code (e.g. INFJ-A) referring to one of the two sides of the corresponding spectrum. You can see where you fall on each scale by completing free personality assessment, NERIS Type Explorer®. This approach has allowed one to achieve high test accuracy while also retaining the ability to define and describe distinct personality types.

Theory of Cognitive Modes is a new way of understanding thought and behavior. Based on an anatomical division of the brain – but not the division of the brain into its left and right halves. The brain is physically divided in to two halves i.e. Left and Right , but there is no solid scientific basis for the popular notion of psychology that has resulted: Left side is “logical and analytical” and Right is “intuitive and creative,” and Any individual is characterized by one side than the other. The key to theory is another division of the brain: into its Top and Bottom parts.

Relationship Awareness Theory is a self-learning model for effectively and accurately understanding and inferring the motive behind the behavior. Relationship Awareness® gives organizations and individuals the awareness and skills they need to build more effective personal and professional relationships. It helps them to sustain those relationships through understanding the underlying Motivational Value Systems™ of themselves and others under two conditions: When things are going well During conflict The theory helps people to recognize that they can choose their behaviors to accommodate their underlying values, while also taking into account the values of others. It is a dynamic and powerful way of looking at human relationships that aids in building communication, trust, empathy, and effective, productive relationships. The Theory (and the psychometric tests which are based on it) were developed by psychologist, clinical therapist, educator, and author Elias H. Porter, Ph.D.

Martin Seligman found that the extent to which people were aware of and using their signature strengths (for example, courage, persistence, and wisdom) greatly impacted the quality of their lives (Park, Peterson, & Seligman, 2004; Seligman, 2012). He developed a theory of well-being called the PERMA model comprising of five elements that create the foundation of a flourishing life : Positive Emotions; Engagement; Relationships; Meaning; Accomplishments.

The Michelangelo Phenomenon got its name from the famous sculptor as “the self becomes a reflection of the interdependence reality created by the partner” (Drigotas et al., 1999, p. 294). Individuals are motivated to move their actual self closer to their ideal self because it increases well-being. Partners can help or hinder this process by either showing affirmation or disaffirming their partners. The Michelangelo Phenomenon explains the process of how close relationship partners (i.e. the sculptor) can affirm or disaffirm the target’s (i.e. the sculpted) ideal self and how the affirmation influences movement toward the target’s ideal self.
