About 690 registered companies with SECP and FBR are enrolled as ineligible Hajj Group Organizer with Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. These companies are ineligible to organize Hajj groups throughout Pakistan because these do not fulfill all strict requirements. It is an instance of economic inefficiency in tourism sector of Pakistan. About 2800 persons can easily get jobs if Ministry of Religious Affairs softens requirements like tax returns filing. About 690 registered companies with SECP and FBR are
enrolled as ineligible Hajj Group Organizer (HJO) with Ministry
of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony. These companies
are ineligible to organize Hajj groups throughout Pakistan
because these do not fulfill all strict requirements as HJO. This
economic inefficiency in tourism sector needs our attention.
About 2800 persons can easily get jobs if Ministry of Religious
Affairs softens requirements like tax returns filing. Hopefully
concerned authorities and Hajj Organizers Association of
Pakistan (HOAP) will take positive action.
