2. FATA
Federally Administered Tribal Areas
(FATA) consist of
– 7 Agencies and
– 6 Frontier Regions.

3. Peace
People especially youth want
permanent peace solution for
sustainable economic development
of FATA. Government along with law
enforcing agencies is trying to restore
peace.
Development Bank
A financial development institution
like ZTBL, IDBL and SME Bank is
need of hour. Government has
approved Development Bank of
FATA.

4. Jobs for Youth
Skills training is being imparted to
youth and women of FATA.
Universities in Pakistan also earmark
quota for students of FATA. SMEDA
and FATA Development Authority
(FDA) are planning to provide more
than 10,000 jobs annually in tribal
areas.
Media Development
There are couple of newspapers and
magazines published from FATA.
Government is facilitating people to
establish newspapers and radio
channels
for
free
flow of
information.

5. University
Female Literacy
There are 3660 primary schools and
37 degree colleges in FATA but there
is need of a university. Government
has approved a separate university.
HEC is working in this regard.
Female literacy is 10.5% in FATA.
Female literacy in Frontier Region
Bannu is 1%. Government, FATA Boy
Scouts Association (FBSA) and
Poverty Eradication Initiative (PEI) are
trying to increase literacy level in
women and men.

6. Tourism Promotion
Climate Development
Important
sites
are
Jamrud
Fort, Wana, Razmak, Mandar Dam
and Shakai Pass. Investors can set up
tourist resorts of international
standards.
Area under forests is low in FATA. In
April 2013, Government earmarked
Rs.750 million for plantation and
protection of natural forests.

7. Judicial Reforms
People and lawyers want reforms in
FCRs and want jurisdiction extension
of Supreme Court of Pakistan in FATA.
Government is determined to bringing
consensus-based reforms in FATA.
