For more than 75 years, Lifetouch
has been photography for a lifetime.
Our work captures a moment and
stands the test of time. As you look
into the eyes of the students, families,
and individuals we photograph, you
glimpse the future.
While our nationwide network of
production facilities produces miles
of photographic prints every day, our
photographers honor the individual
spirit of every person preserved
through our lens. In schoolhouses,
studios, and churches across North
America, Lifetouch photographers
prove their devotion to their craft
with every click of the shutter. They
have earned the trust of a nation.
The following pages offer a brief look
into our employee-owned company.
I hope you will see, as I do, the
operational, technical, and artistic
beauty of Lifetouch.
Sincerely,
Paul Harmel

The connection between the eye and heart is stronger than ever at
Lifetouch. Prized images are captured by portrait artists who have an
eye for what is beautiful, what is exciting, what is memorable.
Infants that draw you into their innocence; childhood, toothless,
disheveled or primped; young people with dreams for tomorrow;
families bonded by love; faces weathered by years – emotions captured
and shared. The results stand the test of time and are cherished from
one generation to another.
The torchbearers of artistry at Lifetouch are the more than 20,000
photographers in studios and on location across the United States
and Canada. Their everyday work is supported by the Lifetouch
Photographic Council and master photographers who provide
ongoing training, mentorship, and guidance.

In its 75 year history, Lifetouch has learned that standard professional
cameras are, oftentimes, not up to the challenges of volume photography.
Each year, Lifetouch makes significant investments to modify, update, or
build cameras that meet the company’s exacting specifications.
Recently, the Smithsonian Institution recognized the importance of
Lifetouch-built cameras and accepted into its permanent collections the
Micro-Z and TruView camera systems. These systems captured millions of
smiling faces over their combined 40-year history.
Currently, Lifetouch is investing in its next generation camera system.
Deployed in schools across the United States, this camera is offering
customers previously unimagined product variety from a single image.

For decades, Lifetouch has given generous support to families and
children locally, nationally, and internationally. Employee owners give of
their time in support of countless local causes across North America.
Employee volunteers embark on Lifetouch Memory Missions to locations
domestically and internationally, constructing homes and schools and
providing photographic gifts. Traveling to Kosovo, Haiti, Appalachia, the
Gulf Coast, and the Southwest, these volunteers bring a sense of hope
and give individuals and families, what is often, a first-ever portrait.
Giving back is part of the Lifetouch culture.
