3. Club Mission Statement!
The Canton Soccer Club pledges to be a Full Service Soccer Organization dedicated to
the growth and enrichment of its participating members within the game of soccer. We
will strive for Total Player Development in an environment that fosters individual
confidence along with team success. These goals will be achieved through hard work,
sacrifice, dedication and the complete commitment to every level of player from
Recreational to Premier.
4. Select/Premier Mission Statement
The mission of the Canton Soccer Club Select and Premier Program is to provide a
positive and creative environment for the advanced players to improve their soccer
skills. With top coaching, excellent facilities and a year round program each player will
have the potential to reach his or her maximum level of performance. All while
learning the skills of commitment, dedication, teamwork and sportsmanship.
Vision Statement
The Canton Soccer Club will remain committed to being a leader within the soccer
industry. We will pursue opportunities to strengthen and grow the club through our
fields and facilities as well as our programs and staff. We will pursue these
opportunities while being fiscally responsible to our members.
5. Canton Cup
Host of the Canton Cup since 1982.
2014 Cup will host approximately 650
teams.
One of the largest 3-day single-club
soccer tournament in the country.

9. The Tryout Process
Before
•Pre-Register online May 15th - June 13th
•Age Group Training (week prior to tryouts)
•Boys: Mon 6/9 and Tues 6/10
•Girls: Wed 6/11 and Thurs 6/12
•Check website for times and field locations
•Contact the current coach
•Try to get out to a training session
10. During
• Tryouts - June 14-15
• 3rd Tentative Tryout - June 18th (6-7:30pm)
• Check-in (Bring Registration Form)
• Parents stay in the pavilion
• Players Play - No Drills
• U11-U18 teams must have player forms completed.

• Team Selections
• U7-U10 teams will receive phone calls
• U11-U18 teams formed on the field
• Team Organizational Meeting
• Within the week following tryouts (Coach will set date/time)
• Uniform Sizing (more info on the next slide)
• Meet with Coach and/or Manager
• Go over yearly plan and goals
