Personal Statement
I am very interested about taking . I also believe I could use the course to help me get a career in the
media industry.
My Strengths
I am a confident worker good at taking on tasks and getting work in before their deadlines; I have
learnt these skill’s from work experience as a trainee at the SEDDON building company. I would be
good at doing my course’s work as I have had experience with it at Salford City Radio. I would
consider myself quite creative and good at coming up with ideas for projects. I am interested in this
course as it relates to my college work so I have good knowledge of how to complete relevant work.

This course at this university has the right outcome that I would like after graduating. I am interested
in the course as It leads to the career path I would like to pursue. The work I have done up to now
would allow me to work well in this course as I have learned different things that would be beneficial
to me.
Educational Background
I am currently doing a Level 3 media Diploma which focuses on the practical side of media. This is
work such as short videos and a music video, rather than the A-level media which is more based on
writing and essays. The courses main units are radio, film and music which gives me good general
knowledge about the equipment.
Personal experience
I have work experience at SEDDON building company. I was there for two weeks as an assistant; my
main tasks were delivering files around the building and sorting documents. This gives me
experience sorting and filing my work properly. I also have work experience at Salford city radio; this
gives me more knowledge on how to work the radio equipment and media terminology in the
workplace.

I think you should choose me for the following reasons: I am a hard worker and I will do my best to
complete my assignments to a good standard and hand them in on time. I already have good
knowledge with media so I believe this course is a good choice for me. I am also very motivated to
complete this course to the best of my ability.
Conclusion

In conclusion I think this course would suit me well as this is the career path I wish to take in the
future. This means I would enjoy the course and learn from it a lot, in the hope I get a job related to
the course eventually.
