Facebook Fan Page
If you don’t have a Facebook account, you need one. Once
you have a registered Facebook account you can create a fan
page. A fan page is a great way to build your brand and build
new relationships with your audience.
Facebook is one of the most popular business to consumer
social media platforms. It’s free, so why not use it.






Facebook - Join Free Groups
Join Facebook groups and even better, start your own group on
Facebook. The great advantage about FB groups is it’s 100%
free and you can create an unlimited number of groups.
You can have an “open” group that anyone can join, as your
company or product face on Facebook. Once you have
Facebook members who join your group, you can contact them
instantly by sending them a message through Facebook.






Twitter Tips
Customize – upload a seductive photo for your business profile.
Include keywords in the Bio that your followers might search
for.
Create a background image. This must be less than 800k. An
ideal size is 1600 by 1200.
Retweet and join conversations with people who have lots of
followers in your target market. Don’t be afraid to Retweet your
competitors’ tweets since your competitors may return the
favor.






Twitter Tips
Make your tweets not only promotional, but funny, creative and
informative.
Add your Twitter profile, mine is @darrenstock911, to as many
places as possible. For example, websites, signatures,
Facebook, blog, etc.
Add a Twitter profile widget to your company blog or website.






YouTube Video Marketing
YouTube is a Web 2.0 website, which Google bought in
October, 2006 for a staggering 1.65 billion dollars. The
site receives over 100 million views per day, so you can
see it’s a great free marketing tool.
Once you set up your channel on YouTube, you can
then embed your videos on your website or blog. Better
still, record a 20-minute video, make it private, and offer
all your future customers this as a gift using email
marketing.






Article Directories
Article Directories are not quite as effective as they once
were. Google saw to that with their algorithm updates,
such as the Farmer, the Penguin, and the Panda. In
saying this, the top article sites, such as
EzineArticles.com and GoArticles.com still hold a high
page rank and enjoy a large number of daily visitors.
My suggestion is to join up for free and post 500-600
word articles that are associated with your product or
service.






LinkedIn Groups
Do you have your own LinkedIn Group? If the answer is
no, then set one up immediately! LinkedIn Groups
should be the core of any B2B online marketing strategy.
When you set up a group you can either make your
group private or open. The difference is that an open
group can be indexed by search engines and is visible
to non members of the group. The choice is yours – I
always prefer to set up an open group.





Video Trailers For Your Product
If you go to Fiverr.com, you could hire someone to
create a video trailer of your product or service for $5. A
typical video trailer lasts two minutes and is a great way
to promote your product or service using a video.
Once your video trailer has been created, you can then
publish it on YouTube, and then embed the YouTube
video on your blog or website.
