11. Hybrid Cloud Definition
11
Hybrid Cloud is a cloud computing environment which uses a mix of on-premises, private cloud, and
third-party public cloud services with ORCHESTRATION between the two platforms. By allowing
workloads to MOVE between private and public clouds as computing needs and costs changes. With
Hybrid Cloud, it gives you and your company greater flexibility, agility and deployment options.

Welcome and Thank you very much for attending the session. Really appreciate for the attention and support
In the next 20 minutes, I would like to cover the following topics:
1.) I would like to introduce Who is Datacomm and Specifically Datacomm Cloud Business
2.) I would like to share some trends and direction in Hybrid Cloud Computing area and how and why this technology can benefit to our customers
3.) We would like to introduce Hybrid Cloud Solution from HPE and Datacomm to Indonesian market
Let’s double click on what it means to helping a customer transform to hybrid infrastructure.
One common problem (though not the only one) we hear from customers is like this:
Customer has 10K or more apps existing in their CMDB, running on over 10K servers.
This is poorly utilized, high cost, not agile at all.
They want something cheaper, more responsive to their business needs, while still maintaining the controls that they need.
What they want is a partner who can come in and evaluate and recommend next steps—
What apps can be scrapped or taken to SaaS?
Which traditional apps shouldn’t be moved at all but should be industrialized onto newer converged infra to lower costs
Which apps should move to the cloud but need to stay on prem
And for those apps that can get to the public cloud where security isn’t a big concern, then please help me do this.
And give me common managed services—integrated chargeback and billing, security auditing, and so on.
**These numbers are representative of what one customer might achieve, but this isn’t necessarily what all customers will have. **
This is a fair representation of a type of customer problem that customers have when they talk about transforming to hybrid infrastructure.
To effectively match applications and workloads to the best infrastructure that fits their requirements, customers need a hybrid infrastructure.
The potential of Hybrid Infrastructure
Deliver “always on” services
Auto-scale to maximize your businesses growth potential
Empower developers to build apps and microservices fast
Move from large, monolithic applications
Reduce operational cost with automation
Reduce CapEx with the appropriate resource utilization
