Production Planning/Manufacturing Engineer 2010 to date
Airbus UK Broughton
 Responsible for the observing and compiling of observation sheets to identify
specific areas of waste on A380/A320 wing structure.
 Compile S.O.I (standard operating instructions) for use on all Airbus platforms.
 Attended weekly progress meetings with management to discuss any
repetitive areas of waste, and address them forthwith.
 Carry out process improvement across existing manufacturing instructions,
through the Lean Manufacturing model.
 Create a time value for all engineering documentation using Ti-Con to eliminate
waste from the program.
 Cary out a cleansing activity for all engineering in PEGS (Production Engineering
Group System) incorporating the waste reduction into the engineering.
Production Planning/Configuration Engineer 2001 to 2010

 Responsible for engineering production job cards to implement modifications
onto regional jets such as RJX, NIMROD, and ARA aircraft.
 Liase with other departments such as design to determine there requirements
ensuring all mod standards are fully understood and complied with.
 Attended weekly progress meetings with stress and design to eliminate any
possible problems, and address them so as not to affect production.
 Consult with other engineers to improve any methods of manufacture and
highlight any problem areas.
 Responsible for the maintenance and correlation of data relating to design build
standard of a completed aircraft.

2. Planning engineer 1999 to 2001

 Responsible for engineering production job cards for detailed aircraft parts within
the aerospace industry. Currently operating on Nimrod, Airbus, Goshawk T45, RJ
and VC10 projects.
 Liase with customers to determine their requirements, ensuring any problems
are eliminated prior to commencement of manufacture.
 Troubleshooting when unforeseen problems occur and reacting quickly to ensure
production and quality are unaffected.
 Ensuring that planning’sare loaded with a total emphasis on cost control by
creating a smooth production flow, and increase company output.
