Activate        Revision Session Protocol
1.    Think carefully about which level you should start at. The aim of the
      session is for you to have a deeper understanding of a particularly
      tricky topic and make progress. It’s not to see who finishes first or
      gives up.

2.    Move onto new tasks in order. You can start at any level (see point 1).

3.    Read the success criteria for each level carefully.

4.    Only move up to the next level when you feel confident (see the
      success criteria’s for guidance). You could always go back a level if
      needed.

5.    Be independent of others. Your exam is less than 2 weeks away and
      no one can help you then, so don’t let them hold you back now.
Demonstrate                 D Grade
1. Use the text books to recap the topic
2. Make no notes
3. Do this independently and in silence

Success Criteria:

You are unsure of the topic and therefore
need to do background ready before
undertaking the other learning tasks.
Demonstrate                  C Grade
• Fill out the ‘Key definitions and terminology’ sheet to
   get the main information on this topic down
or
• Complete the PESSYP and School Sport sheet to
   gather additional information

You have some idea of specific

them to the whole strategy.

1. Use the double bubble map to compare and contrast the
   PESSCL and PESSYP strategy.
2. Use the David prompt image sheet to link all of the
   PESSCL, PESSYP & School Sport facts to him. Do any
   overlap, link, coincide with each other?
3. Are you able to link in the key words and explain how they
   tie in?
4. Read the prompt question on the back of the sheet. Can you
   now link all of your points to this as well?
Demonstrate            B Grade
Success Criteria:

You know the all/nearly all of the specific
points on the topic. You can explain them
clearly. You are able to link them and show
how they work together.
You will need to link all of the topics, key words, definitions and information from PESSCL, PESSYP and
      Demonstrate                      School Sport. How do they all link in towards David? Highlight any links between topics and write a brief
                                       explanation as to why they interlink.

1. How might the schools PESSYP strategy have helped David develop his Athletics at
   school? (6 marks)
2. How do schools encourage individuals like David to take part in sport? (8 marks)
3. When David was in school he would have benefitted from the older PESSCL
   strategy. Explain specifically how this strategy would have benefitted him (8 marks)



• What might happen if the schools didn’t run extra curricular activities?
• What might happen if the PESSYP strategy didn’t offer support for Gifted
  & Talented?
• What would happen to David if schools didn’t run interschool
  competitions?
