The Imaginary entities is in their 30’s and 40’s mostly male with most
people in the ABC1 social scale with most people employed however
there is a large unemployed group. The magazine is for Explorers who
want to try something new.
NME
• The Imaginary entities are young adults (16-28) and a large
proportion of them are still in education (42%) most readers are male
over ¾ (76%). The largest group of readers are in the top 3 social
classes ABC1.
Why does a company have a target audience
in mind before a product is made?
• This is as if a company does not have an idea of a who will buy the
product the look might put of their ideal audience and the marketing
might be of point, a good example of a product who did not know it's
target audience was the Wii U as Nintendo targeted their marketing
at kids but used them in the advertisements but they did not realise
that young children what the older kids/teens want.
• Questionnaire- Ask the public question to inform the company of if
their age would be interested.
• Social Media Analytics- look at people social media to see what kind
of stuff they post, like and retweet to see what they are interested in.
• Interviews- Like a Questionnaire but it ask open-ended questions that
allow for detailed responses instead of just “yes” or “no.”

How could knowing who the ideal audience
member benefit the funding of the product?
• If a corporation knows a product is for young adults they are more
likely to get finding from investors brands who what to be associated
with the product/audience and investors are more likely to invest into
something that they know and that has a large chance of making a
profit.
