LUZON
Pahiyas Festival (Quezon)
• Celebrated to give thanks to San Isidro
  Labrador for good harvest
• Quezon is made alive by the color and music
  Pahiyas brings. Not to mention Quezon’s
  worlds famous longanisa, and the very unique
  highlight of the festival, “kiping”.
Panagbenga Festival (Baguio)
• Celebrated in the month of February
• Panagbenga showcases the different culture
  of its different tribes. The taste of Baguio’s
  tribal culture and Tournament of Roses parade
  definitely makes Panagbenga worth going to.
Obando Fertility Dance (Bulacan)
• Celebrated in the month of May in honor of
  Santa Clara.
• Those who wish to have a child or even singles
  who wish to meet their other cos60 come
  here. Not only that but the Obando Dance
  itself features street dance that is present to
  only few regions in Luzon.
Bangus Festival (Dagupan)
• Celebrated in the month of April to pay
  tribute to the city’s biggest industry.
• The festival features dancing contests, the
  search for the Bangus Queen, parades, and
  a citywide sale. Also the possibility of
  bagging a Guinness World Record is there.
Pagoda sa Wawa (Bulacan)
• This festival is held every July in honor of the
  miraculous “Krus sa Wawa”.
• In a barge carrying a huge decorated float is
  released along the Bocaue River and this is where
  hundreds of people partake on good food and
  enjoy music. It also features fluvial parade of
  decorated barge and small boats, trade fairs,
  beauty pageant, and art exhibits.
Phil. Hot Air Balloon Festival (Pampanga)
• Celebrated in the month of February
• The festival features different kinds of aircrafts,
  creating a wonderful view in the sky. Traditional
  kites, spirit lanterns, air machines, radio-controlled
  aircraft and almost anything that flies fills the blue
  skies of Pampanga. And of course, the hot air
  balloon which is the festival’s star of the show.
Moriones Festival (Marinduque)
• An annual festival held on Holy Week
• Moriones Festival is highlighted by a
  parade of people wearing different
  colourful masks and there are also
  those replicating the appearances of
  biblical Roman soldiers.
Higantes Festival (Rizal)
• This festival is celebrated in the month
  of November in honor of San Clemente.
• The parade of higantes that are made of
  paper-mache measuring 4-5 ft in
  diameter and 10-12 ft in height.
Suman Festival (Baler)
• Celebrated in the month of February
• This festival is a weeklong celebration marked
  by trade exhibits, fairs and competitions
  capped by the Search for Ms. Aurora. The
  suman is used to decorate the main streets
  and houses in Baler during the festivity.

VISAYAS
Sinulog Festival (Cebu)
• This festival is held in the month of January in honor of
  Senyor Sto. Nino de Cebu
• Most colorful and most distinguished festival in the
  Philippines. Cebu’s Sinulog features different activities
  such as Miss Cebu beauty pageant, the fluvial
  procession, the solemn street procession, the film-
  making contests, the arts contests. This also features a
  street parade wherein participants dressed in bright
  costumes dance to the rhythm of drums, trumpets, and
  native gongs.
Dinagyang Festival (Iloilo)
• Celebrated in the month of January to commemorate the
  Christianization of the natives and to honor the Holy
  Child Jesus
• It is a very colorful parade coupled with a dramatization
  in honor of the patron Saint - Sto Niño. The object of
  dramatized offerings and prayers amidst the cracking of
  drums and shouts of "Viva Señor Santo Niño" and the
  thundering of "Hala Bira" by the tribe members makes
  the celebration a lively one.
Maskara Festival (Bacolod)
• It is celebrated in the month of October
• The festival is highlighted by food fairs,
  mask-making contests, brass band
  competitions, beauty pageants,
  windsurfing regatta, drinking and eating
  contests, trade fairs and exhibits.
Pintado-Kasadyahan Festival (Tacloban)
• This festival begin every 29th of June lasting a month
• The most awaited in the festival are those dancers who
  are covered with paint from head to toe with the
  armorlike design to imitate the early warriors whose
  bodies are covered with tattoos. Those dancers parades
  to every road in Tacloban. The ethnic dances that are
  performed during the festival showcases the traditions
  even before the Spaniards arrived in the country. The
  festival ends with a feast.
Ati-Atihan Festival (Kalibo, Aklan)
• Celebrated in honor of the Sto. Nino, held annually in
  the month of January
• It is the wildest among Philippine fiestas and
  considered as the Mother of All Philippine festivals.
  Celebrants paint their faces with black soot and wear
  bright, outlandish costumes as they dance in revelry
  during the last three days of this two week-long
  festival. Catholics and non-Catholics alike observe this
  special day with processions, parades, dancing, and
  merrymaking.

MINDANAO
Kadayawan Festival (Davao)
• Celebrated in the month of August, the festival is a
  celebration of life, a thanksgiving for the gifts of nature,
  the wealth of culture, the bounties of harvest and
  serenity of living.
• An event called Panagtagbo exhibits the arts and
  culture of the ten indigenous tribes of Davao - finding
  expression in dance, costumes, and revelry. Indak Indak
  sa Kadalanan – a street dance parade and Pamulak
  Floral Float – features flower-laden floats are the two
  high profile parades in Kadayawan.
Kalilangan Festival (Gen. Santos City)
• ‘Kalilangan’ means festival, festivity or jubilee. It is a
  social gathering marked by exchanging of amenities
  among traditional leaders, elders, allies and
  subordinates in varying tones.
• It is also a pageantry of unique and colorful ethnic
  rites and traditions like marriage, religious
  ceremonies, anniversaries, funerals, enthronement of
  royal dignitaries, thanksgiving and other social forms
  of social, political and economic activities.
Diyandi Festival (Iligan)
• Iliganons, celebrate the city fiesta on September 29,
  the feast of “Señor San Miguel,” the armor-clad
  patron saint of Iligan,.
• Thousands of devotees flock to the cathedral to
  witness the ceremonies One of the more significant
  highlights of the fiesta celebration is an Iliganon
  tradition and cultural heritage — the San Miguel
  Comedia. This religious musical play is one of the
  country’s last surviving zarzuelas and considered a
  priceless heritage.
Hinugyaw Festival (Cotabato)
• Highlighting the Piyesta Korona (Korona Festival), a unique
  blend of mardi gras, creative korona attire and float
  competitions and the night time Street Dancing Competition.
• Hinugyaw festival is a week long celebration of the
  Foundation Anniversary of Koronadal City, the center of the
  Province of South Cotabato happening usually on the first
  week of January every year. It is a colorful merry-making
  depicting the evolution of the distinct cultures of B’laans,
  Maguindanao, and Christians into a singular wave of rhythm
  as a tribute to the creator, and in celebration of the spirit that
  Koronadal is known for dynamic and persistent in its bound
  for sustainable development.
Binalbal Festival (Mis. Occidental)
• The Binalbal Festival is a celebration to welcome in the
  New Year for the townsfolk of Tudela, a town in
  Misamis Occidental in Mindanao, Philippines. On
  January 1st people come out wearing strange masks
  and outrageous outfits to represent what they think
  BALBAL look like. Balbal in the Bisaya language, are
  supernatural beings - ghosts, imps, fairy, witches,
  vampires, ogres if you like, so this celebration is
  something like Halloween on New Year Day.
