2. Google's Next Tablet Will Have 3D
Vision Technology
Google is planning to release a tablet with "advanced vision capabilities," which will use two
back cameras, infrared depth sensors and software to capture 3D images of objects and
rooms, according to a report. It will also have a 7-inch screen.
Google plans to produce 4,000 of the prototype tablets next month. The tablets, which are
part of Project Tango, could be released ahead of Google's I/O conference, which is scheduled
for the end of June.

3. Samsung Developing Smartwatch
That Works Without a Smartphone
The Wall Street Journal reports that the South Korean manufacturer is in talks with
various telecommunications carriers that would turn the device into a phone itself.
Users will be able to make calls directly on the device and by holding up the wrist to
the mouth.

4. Outlook.com Rolls Out New
Features, Looks More Like Gmail
Microsoft added new features to Outlook.com, making its email client
look much more like Gmail. The updates include new ways to filter and
organize emails, an undo function, in-line reply and improvements to
chat.

5. 'World's First' Braille Phone Is Now
on Sale
UK-based OwnFone, a company that lets users design their own mobile
devices, introduced what it's calling the world's first Braille phone.

Chrome 35 launches with ‘OK
Google’ voice search
This release enables “Ok Google” voice search, which was previously added in
Chrome 34 beta, for all users. Visit Google.com, or open a tab if Google is your
default search engine, and say “Ok Google” to get going.

7. EBay asks 145 million users to
change passwords after cyber attack
EBay Inc said that a cyber attack carried out three months ago has compromised
customer data, and the company urged 145 million users of its online commerce
platform to change their passwords.
The company said unknown hackers stole email addresses, encrypted passwords,
birth dates, mailing addresses and other information in an attack carried out between
late February and early March.
Here’s what we recommend you do the next time you visit eBay:
● Take a moment to change your password. This will help further protect you; it’s
always a good practice to periodically update your password. Millions of eBay users
have already updated their passwords.
● Remember to always use different passwords on different sites and accounts. If you
haven’t done this yet, take the time to do so.

8. Apples Rolls Out New Software
Updates at WWDC14
With OS X Yosemite comes Apple’s iCloud Drive, a cloud-based storage system that works from
within the Finder. The documents also sync across other Mac computers and iOS devices.

Apple also introduced QuickType, a predictive typing technology that learns from your local
device words you often type or context from previous messages to suggest words you’re about to
type.
HealthKit
Apple officially gets in on the Quantified Self fitness game with HealthKit which collects your
personal health data from various third party apps and keeps track of your daily activities. You
can access the aggregated information through the Health app.
OS X 10.10 Yosemite
OS X 10.10 for laptops and desktop computers is now called "Yosemite". Updates to the platform
allow devices to communicate more effectively with other Apple devices.

iOS 8 is the eighth major release of the iOS mobile operating system

9. For developers...
Apple announced that TestFlight will be available this fall for the Apple developer
platform, finally allowing developers to beta-test their apps.

CloudKit
Apple announced a new developer framework called CloudKit to let developers
build cloud-connected apps. This means Apple will now handle asset storage for
free, “with limits.”
Metal
Apple also introduced a new 3D API that allows game developers to take advantage of Apple’s
processing power and create beautiful, interactive 3D graphics. Apple says Metal will allow
games to get “10x” faster draw rates. The company also announced additional iOS 8 gaming
frameworks, such as SceneKit and SpriteKit.
Swift
Apple announced its own programming language called Swift which will replace
Objective C. Apple claims Swift is faster than Objective C thought it can still work
alongside the language, and works with Cocoa and Cocoa Touch.
