indicators for students today. Develop at least two positive strategies to overcome each
indicator.
Making excuses and blaming others:
1. Take responsibilities for my own actions
2. Taking the time to talk things out and see who’s really at fault in the situation
Tardiness (late for classes):
1. Waking up on time (setting alarms)
2. Not staying up late
Avoiding responsibility:
1. Seeing where not having any responsibility takes you
2. Learning the hard way
Partying over studying:
1. Realizing what’s more important in the long run
2. Staying away from the wrong influences
Apathy:
1.Finding something that you find is interesting
2. Having reason for doing whatever it is you’re doing
No focus or goals
1. Thinking and talking more about your future
2. Reading and listening to stories about people that wish they would have done
something better with there life.
Pessimism:
1. Look at things in a positive light (listen and read positive stories)
2. Talk to people that have overcome your problem of being so negative
Social isolation (shyness):
1. Joining study groups at school
2. Getting involved in school clubs
