Wattson - Wattson is a consumer and commercially used product which wirelessly communicates with a sensor on your power line. The unit then uses a 7 segment display and an array of RGB LEDs underneath to display usage information on a clean and simple display unit. The unit can be connected via USB to your computer to upload its information to Holmes an online community of over 700 Wattson devices sharing their energy consumption information.
Ewgeco - http://www.ewgeco.com/
Ewgeco is available in a 1, 2 and 3 channel/bar versions and each channel/bar is like an equalizer, the bar shows current usage, with a daily peak hold marker. The bar/marker illuminates from green through to red all the way up the graph to show using visual language the amount of energy you are using. There are also LED/VFD displays for numerical information, time and temperature.
Energy Joule - http://www.ambientdevices.com/products/energyjoule.html
The energy joule is another device which monitors energy consumption and displays it using a LCD and traffic light coloured lights.
Not available for purchase to the public.
Energy Orb - http://www.ambientdevices.com/cat/orb/orborder.html
The Energy Orb is a special version of Ambient Devices regular product Ambient Orb. The Energy Orb illuminates in different ‘moods’ depending on your energy use. A flashing red Energy Orb is a sign that you have too much stuff on and need to act to reduce your energy consumption.
Not available for purchase as they were a special one of.
Control4 - http://www.control4.com/
Control4 are a home automation company but they have now added energy consumption monitoring to their products. One of the main advantages to Control4 is rather than just telling you that you are using too much energy it can actually switch devices on and off. Theoretically it could make suggestions as to what devices to turn of by using simple and yet intelligent decision making logic.
Requires the Control 4 system.
TED 1000 - http://www.theenergydetective.com
One of the most popular in the UK, now has an iPhone. TED is a generic a desktop energy monitoring device sold in the US.

OWL Micro + OWL USB - http://www.theowl.com/
A energy monitor wirelessly transmits energy usage information any number of interfaces (two shown of three designs). OWL USB allows you to monitor usage on your computer whilst OWL micro shows energy usage on an LCD in real time with cost implications also.

Onzo is a small Xbee wireless power monitor an LCD screen is used to monitor power consumption.
Utility Bill - http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/31/science/earth/31compete.html?partner=permalink&exprod=permalink
In one place in America 35,000 customers were sent utility bills with smiley or frowning faces to show whether their energy consumption was good or bad with printed graphs for comparison inside the envelope.
This is Holmes, the web GUI for Wattson.
Starter Dashboard - http://www.luciddesigngroup.com/
Dashboard is a turn-key web package which using sensors is able to provide information about energy comsumption across multi-site companies. It enables you to compare with other sites, have a competition to see who has reduced their energy usage the most and even allows buildings with solar panels to see how close they are to paying for them selves.
Google PowerMeter - http://www.google.org/powermeter/
Google are looking for ways to work with utilities companies to help provide access to information that makes energy consumption information more accessible to everyone and more useful.

Microsoft hohm -
Microsoft hohm will eventually allow you to monitor your energy costs in your house and suggest ways of reducing those costs however currently most homes do not have smart meters and the project is still in development. Eventually you will be able to get live data rather than estimated information about your home. The project is similar to Google’s PowerMeter except that Microsoft have an interim site while Google are holding back until the energy companies provide access to smart meter information.

Agile waves - http://earth2tech.com/2008/04/11/agilewaves-gauges-your-homes-greenness/
Agile waves like all the others measures energy through some kind of interface for monitoring but unlike most of the others it also measures other building attributes such as…
Water usage
Gas usage
Air quality

EDF Energy Saving Adaptor (Concept) - http://www.gillesbelley.fr/en_gillesbelley/en_Edf_coupe-veille_1.html
The Energy saver shows when the device is no longer in use and on its standby mode, it reminds you to switch it off, and if you forget it does it for you after 3 minutes to help save energy.
BuyProduct - http://www.rca.ac.uk/Default.aspx?ContentID=507296&GroupID=507291&CategoryID=36756&CollectionId=230
BuyProduct is kind of the opposite of an energy consumption meter. It is designed to help offset carbon emissions, you walk up to it choose what you want to offset and then swipe your credit card, it then tells you that the tree will finish scrubbing the CO2 in a set amount of time after its done all the other jobs, the width of the tree is measured to determine its potential for offset.
