This document provides a program for a Dreams Fulfilled Through Music summer festival concert featuring performances by students and teachers. The concert included piano solos, handchime and accordion ensembles, and performances of classical and popular pieces. The program honored several community partners and organizations for their support of Dreams Fulfilled Through Music's adaptive music education services.

Welcome to a summer afternoon and celebration of music and the arts presented by Dreams Fulfilled Through Music and VSA Arts of Texas.
DREAMS FULFILLED THROUGH MUSIC was chartered as a non-profit organization in February 2005 in San Antonio, TX. The Dream began as the Senior Girl Scout Gold Award project of Kathryn Archuleta in March of 1999.The initial Gala Concert in 1999 raised over $5,000 in cash and in-kind donations to fund a music library to be given to music students with special needs.Since 2005, Dreams Fulfilled Through Music has an average of over 20 performance opportunities each year for music students with special needs.
2005 ~ Dreams Fulfilled Through Music sponsored the first students with Down Syndrome to compete in a recognized music competition – The Accordionists & Teachers’ Guild, International in Dallas, TX.2006 ~ Dreams Fulfilled Through Music sponsored six challenged students in competition at the American Accordionists Association National Competition in Buffalo, NY. All six received superior and “first place” honors in open competition.2007 ~ Dreams Fulfilled Through Music again sponsored six challenged students at the American Accordionists Association National Competition & Coupe Mondiale International Accordion Festival in Washington, D.C. Members of the Alamo Angels performed “Stars & Stripes Forever” with over 200 accordionists from all over the world on the steps of the US Capitol in Washington.2007 ~ Dreams Fulfilled Through Music began outreach programs to music teachers throughout the state of Texas and offers first tuition assistance awards.
2008 ~ Dreams Fulfilled Through Music has begun collaboration with S.A.I.L.S., VSA Arts of Texas, MOSAIC, Inc. and the Archdiocesan Ministry for the Elderly and Disabled. New programs, including the MOSAIC Ringers Handchime Ensemble, extensive teacher training programs and presentations have been added to the many performance opportunities already offered.

Mr. Calvin Lawson began studying the piano only two years ago. He’s an avid swimmer, loves sports and video games. A winner in many Special Olympics competitions. He has also played for various community events and his church.
Miss Jamie Elise Holt is a Senior at the Achievers’ Center School (classmate of Morgan Hartman). She has aspirations to be in the WNBA -- Loves art, loves to compose her own music, etc.
Mr. Hale Matthews, a senior at Ingram High School has studied piano for the past four years. In addition to playing the piano and accordion, Hale is a “regular” performer in the Hill Country Children’s Theatre, having starred most recently in “Bobby Sox” a 50’s musical. He also provides the prelude music every week for his church, The First United Methodist of Harper, TX.
Miss Danette Cooley has been studying music since her early teens, and comes from a family of musicians. Several years ago, she began studying the accordion and now participates with her dad in the Alamo Angels Accordion Ensemble.
Miss Rebecca Cozby recently graduated from the Nellie Reddix Transitional Vocation Program at the Northside Independent School District. She’s the first one in her school to ever take the Texas Music Teachers State Music Theory Exam this past spring. She also received a Superior Plus Rating at the San Antonio Music Teachers’ Achievement Auditions in April.
Miss Kelee Lawn lives for her music! Piano, Accordion and guitar and performances throughout the community take up her time when she’s not at work at HEB where she’s been a highly respected “partner” for over 16 years!

Mr. Matthew Philbrick is a sophomore at Reagan High School, a member of the “Rattler” Band. He is a member of the National Honor Society and a consistent 1st Division Winner in UIL competitions in both piano and clarinet since 6th grade in middle school.
