Question:
(1) Why was E-participation limited to Email submissions.
(2) Why was information provided on the Constituency
Commission’s website, online platforms and online
newspaper rather limited?
Framework: (Macintosh, 2004).
(1) the provision of information
(2) the consultation process and
(3) actual participation

3. Analysis:
Information provided on the Constituency Commission’s
website, online platforms (politics.ie, iCampaigned) and
online newspaper (Dublin People, MySwords.ie, The Irish
Times, The Journal.ie)
Conclusion:
- no further effort to reach out to the population.
- Commission’s website was not E-participation-friendly
- has not been identified as an issue for E-participation
- traditional participation worked better than E-participation
