• Artificial intelligence (AI) is the ability of a computer program or a machine to
think and learn. It is also a field of study which tries to make computers "smart".
They work on their own without being encoded with commands.
• A branch of computer science that deals with stimulation of intelligence behavior
in computers .
• Artificial Intelligence machines perform simple monotous tasks very efficiently
and reliably.

action that John McCarthy , who coined the term in
1955 , defines it as “The Science and Engineering
of making intelligent Machines “.
