Pharmacy Technicians Essay example
Pharmacy Technicians
Despite popular belief, pharmacy technicians are more than laborers; they are specially trained
individuals. Imagine a family member is admitted to the University of South Alabama Hospital with
an acute case of pneumonia, which will require oral and intravenous medications.
These medications must be precisely prepared and properly delivered. The common perception is
that pharmacists prepare medications and technicians simply deliver them. This view of their job is
both accurate and inaccurate.
Pharmacy technicians are most often seen as the pharmacy's "delivery–boy".
Technicians are responsible for timely delivery of medications. However, delivery of medications is
more than the act of getting drugs to a...show more content...
The aseptic technique requires the sterile manipulation of syringes, vials, and medication in the
confines of a vertical and horizontal laminar flow hood. Both of these skills can be taught. Most
pharmacy technicians receive on the job training. The on–the–job training usually last for no more
than six weeks, which is approximately two percent of the time a pharmacist must dedicate to their
training. Ethical consciousness cannot be taught; only those who consider the implications of their
daily tasks acquire it. Technicians lacking professional ethics will endanger patient's lives.
Many ethical technicians make the choice to seek certification. Technicians are not required to
become certified by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, but thousands of
technicians become certified each year. Certification, however, does not test the abilities of the
technician. It simply tests the knowledge required to complete various tasks. A technician being
certified brings up additional implications involving questions of liability between the pharmacist
and technician..
A pharmacist must check any medication that is administered to a patient. This is the focus of their
job. Nevertheless, if an error occurs they are not the only responsible party. Most laws involving
medical liability state that liability lies with the company and the competent medical professionals
involved with error. Once a technician

Essay on Divorce
Broken families are on since the beginning of humanity. In fact, divorce, which has been very
common in today's societies, is the major cause that leads to family devastation. However, although,
in some cases, divorce is the only solution for a family to live in peace, one must think many times
before taking such decision, and that is because of many .
When life becomes unbearable between a women an her husband, they may think of divorce as
being a fair solution for both of them to get their "independence" and live a normal life, they may
even think that it is suitable for their children. However, this is not the case , divorce may have some
serious consequences that can affect the whole society .
Many religions disapprove of divorce....show more content...
As declared before, divorce must remain the last decision to take by a couple, because of its dreadful
consequences on the whole family.
Women, for instance, undergo enormous pain as a result of divorce. In most cases, law gives
divorced women custody. Consequently, they find themselves alone with their children, and hence
obliged to look after them in a society where divorced women may be looked in a bad way.
Besides, most of divorced women don't have regular income, as they were financially depending on
their husbands before divorce, so they have to work outside home, without neglecting their duties
toward their children, and this is very difficult to accomplish especially with the sexual harassment
that becomes very common. Emotionally speaking, a divorced woman feels as she was betrayed by
her ex–husband .She may also start to hate all men, and this can have direct effects on the way she
rises her children.
It is believed that men are the least affected by divorce. However this doesn't mean that they do not
suffer at all. Indeed, men suffer financially from divorce; they are obliged to support their children
as well as their ex–wives. And because before divorce the responsibility was shared by both
husband and wife, divorced men cannot always afford to pay alimony, thus they may be

Informative Essay Hook
Pinkston, Anna Dr. Jeff Newberry ENGL 1101H August 26, 2017 As my ninth
–grade English
teacher, Mrs. Newton would say, without a good hook to start your essay, no one will ever read
it. As I was taught, a hook is a crucial part in your essay because it will help grab the audience's
attention so that they will continue to be invested throughout the paper. For example, the hook
could be a question or a quote about the overall topic of your essay. In my junior year, we had to
do a controversial essay and I used a quote from a famous tattoo artist as my hook because I did my
essay over tattoos and piercings. After the hook, the introduction begins to take form and show the
audience what your essay is about. The introduction is the first thing in your essay that will tell the
audience what the essay is about. The introduction paragraph should be as interesting as the initial
hook and keep the audience invested in the paper. It will establish the basis of the essay and should
contain the thesis statement. The thesis statement is the point in your essay where you will state the
topics that the essay will contain. In high school, we were taught that the thesis should contain the
three points that you will elaborate upon in your three body paragraphs: the weakest point, the
middle point, and the strongest point. The first body paragraph should be the weakest or simplest
way to get the overall point of the essay across to the readers. This will be the foundation of all three
points,

Essay on Violence
Violence is one of the most problematic issues society faces today, and it has been increasing day
after day, in the streets of our cities. The most common description of what violence really is can be
given as negativity towards something or someone either through physical or verbal actions, which
often causes the victim to suffer pain. The different types of violence that exist in our multi–cultural
society are out–numbered, but the most evident ones are domestic, gang, sexual, and racial violence.
While violence can definitely be reduced, it will never be eliminated due to the nature of humans.
Domestic violence, also known as spousal abuse, occurs when a person in an intimate relationship or
marriage tries to dominate and control...show more content...
On October 24 2000, a news article headline read, "Gang wars 6 Dead". This event had taken place
in Etobicoke, and the news article contained sentences like "Six victims in six months" and
"calculated executions". It also contained terms like "Bloods" and "Crips". These terms and
sentences have officially crossed the border and have become all too familiar in Canadian cities.
In order to cut back this outlaw behaviour, we need to educate our youth about the ill effects of
gangs, drugs, guns, and should try to persuade them to instead make friends with those who accept
you for who you are and use all their time in doing something positive and proactive. As a result of
reducing and preventing gang violence, many cities have created special task forces and given
schools their own police officers.
Sexual violence is another form of violence that has plagued our cities. This crime involves violence
that is specifically sexual in nature, to which the victim does not give consent. According to 2005
statistics, 51% of all Canadian women have experienced at least one incident of sexual violence. 6
out of 10 victims who reported being sexually violated were under 17. These numbers are alarming
and scary. It is extremely important to get rid of such sinister crimes in our communities because it
robs the victims of their innocence, self–esteem, confidence, and even trust in our society. The

Why Do Wildfires Start?
In the world there are many natural disasters. Even though there are many, wildfires are the most
interesting. Wildfires has many aspects such as the cause, the cost, who helps after, and where they
occur. WIldfire can be divided into four different groups such as science, math, health, and social
studies. Why do wildfires start? 90% of wildfires are started by humans the other 10% is either
started by lightning, lava, or natural causes. As a matter of fact the driving force for a wildfire is hot,
dry, and humid temperatures ,heat wave, drought, human carelessness, lightning and lava. If there is
a drought happening that will increase the chances of a wildfire because if there is no water keeping

very good idea to get homeowners insurance especially if you live by an area that had many

After a wildfire Red Cross is one of the many first aid disaster relief programs the helps after a
wildfire. Red Cross responds to an emergency every 8 minutes. They go wherever they are
needed. No one else does what they do not even the government. Between 1990 and 2013 there
has been 53 firefighter deaths caused by wildfires. I know that may not seem like a lot for that
many years but it is especially to those firefighters families. During a wildfire there are tiny
particles in the air and those particles enter deep into our lungs. Those tiny particles triggers asthma
attacks, heart attacks, strokes and can kill some people. The fire creates carbon monoxide and it
goes into the air. People at risk during a wildfire are children, teenagers, people with diabetes,
pregnant women, older adults, and people with heart or lung disease.
However 90% of wildfires are started by humans the other 10% is caused by either lightning, lava
or natural causes. Humans are so careless that they leave their campfires started, throw cigarettes on
the ground, and so much more. A heat wave can also cause a wildfire because of the heat it will
cause the soil to become dry. A drought is another

The Mayans Essay
The Mayans The ancient Mayan civilization settled in the Yucatan Peninsula in around 900 AD.
This civilizations was one of the most advanced of its times. They created their own religion,
language, mathematical structure, a very precise calendar, and many other things. The Mayan
way of life revolved their religion. They had a polytheistic religion praising many gods. Each god
had a certain thing that they would rule over or take care of. Chac was the god of rain, Kinich

commoners' children would just learn the skill of their parents. The children would continue to
live with their parents until the got married. There were many regulations about sex and
marriage. Homosexuality and inbreeding was strictly forbidden. If they practiced those they
would become an outcast. There was also no marriage outside the classes unless the chief of the
district approved it. The Mayans were also were technologically advanced. They used their own
math system. One dot stood for one, a bar symbolized five, and a shell figure was zero. The
numbers were expressed vertically with the highest on top. The also created a very precise
calendars. Two different calendars were calculated 260–day and a 365–day. They were able to
calculate the dates because at noon time there was no shadow. This was important for them to use
in predicting eclipses, scheduling religious ceremonies, and when to plant and harvest.
Agriculture and trade were the basis of the economy. A wide variety of things were grown. The
predominate crop was maize. However, beans, squash, pumpkin, chili peppers, tomatoes, frijol,
yucca, cocoa, tobacco, avocado, and sapota were grown and traded. The goods were taken to
major cities and traded for things like cloth, jade, pottery, fish, deer meat, and also salt. All of these
were traded by canoe. They also domesticated dogs and

Procrastination Essays
To procrastinate is to put off doing something out of casual carelessness or common laziness. It
often needlessly postpones or delays events or objectives in your life which can effect others.
Procrastination is almost like a drug in your life, because once you start doing it a little bit, it
slowly adds up to a dependency that you will find to be common habit. Although this is what we all
perceive procrastination to be bad, there are some benefits to it. It can have beneficial impact on
how you take pressure, or how well you can act when time is limited.
Procrastination is something that you don't naturally have an innate ability to do. It is often brought
on by finding ways...show more content...
But it will progressively add up in most cases, the student will start to not study like they know
they should be, but rather they go and do something else that isn't as beneficial. After a while that
people start to do this they think its not bad, even thought they are missing a few points here and
there from lowered studies and completed work. But it can eventually lean up to skipping classes,
which is one of the worse things you can do while in college, since generally there are no make
ups for missed assignments and test. This can then hurt your grades entirely, and therefore may
have you retake certain classes or take another year. This in turn can cause financial problems if it
where to happen on multiple occasions, then can effect your later life on paying off the bills or
charges that were made from it.
Procrastination is not always a very bad thing though; there are some points in your life that it
could prove to be a plus. If done enough you will be use to doing things last minute, which could
possibly help you in your career with handling pressure when you boss tells you do something
within a set amount of time. Also extended amounts of doing this bad habit could help you learn to
take pressure better, as example when you have a huge paper due by the next morning and you
need to keep your self calm or else it will show when your writing the paper. Even though these
sound like positive measures to procrastinating they are really not worth the

Essay about social anxiety
Social Anxiety
Social anxiety is the fear of social situations and the interaction with other people that can
automatically bring on feelings of self–consciousness, judgement, evaluation, and inferiority. Put
differently social anxiety is the fear and anxiety of being judged and evaluated negatively by other
people, leading to feelings of inadequacy, embarrassment, humiliation, and depression. If a person
usually becomes anxious in social situations, but seems fine when they are by them selves, then
social anxiety may be the problem.
Social anxiety disorder or social phobia is a much more common problem then psychologists
originally thought. Millions of people al over the world...show more content...
It can affect even people who are experienced at speaking in public and do it regularly. At its worst,
it can make it impossible for the sufferer to speak in public at all, even to ask a question.
People who suffer from a social phobia will worry a lot about making a fool of themselves in
front of other people, and will feel very anxious before going into any of the social situations that
worry them. They may go through, in great detail, all the embarrassing things that could happen.
When they are actually with people, they will feel even more anxious, and may be unable to say, or
do, what is intended. In a way, it is a self–fulfilling prophecy. You worry so much about looking
worried that you actually do look worried. People experiencing both of these types of social
phobia have many of the same physical symptoms. You may get a very dry mouth, sweat a lot,
and feel your heart racing. Other people may be able to see some of the signs of this anxiety, such
as blushing, stammering, shaking and trembling. Sometimes you may breathe too fast, which can
give you feelings of numbness or pins and needles in the fingers and toes. This can make the
anxiety even worse. These feelings of fear and bodily symptoms can end in a panic attack. This is a
short period, usually lasting only a few minutes, during which people feel overwhelmingly anxious,
terrified of losing control, and may feel

Essay on Determination
Some people believe that talent and a winning attitude are all you need in order to succeed in your
endeavors, but a winning attitude means having determination, which many people lack. As seen on
wisdomforthesoul.org, "Real leaders are ordinary people with extraordinary determination."
Determination is an important factor in the overall success or failure of a person's efforts.
Unfortunately, determination is not something that comes easy to the majority of people. To be truly
determined, a person must first be passionate about what they're doing. Passion, however, is only the
first step towards resolution and determination. One must have a clear goal in mind, and be willing to
do anything to achieve said goal. Once they have set...show more content...
(www.merriam–webster.com) This is synonymous with my personal definition of determination.
When the end is decided upon, there is no reason or desire to change said goal. A person under
the influence of determination is comparable to a train. The train will not change its direction, as
it cannot, and no matter what, the train will continue along the tracks until it either reaches its
destination, or is stopped by the conductor. For as an example, my plan after high school is to go
to college, and then move into the professional world. When confronted about possibly wanting to
join the military, my answer is absolutely not. Going to college right after high school has always
been my mindset, and there's no way my determination will let that change. I am the metaphorical
train, because my destination is set, and there's no chance for me to adjust my direction. I will not
stray from my goal, because it would mean wrecking myself and all those involved in my
endeavors. There will be mountains in front of me, and people I may have to run over to reach my
goal, but when one's mind is set, they will not waver, and neither will I.
Another dictionary defines determination as firmness of purpose (thefreedictionary.com). When one
is determined, they are ready for what life throws at them, because no matter how obscure the path
may be, they always have a clear view of their final destination. To be determined means to always

Mexico Essay
Mexico is bordered by the United States on the north, the Pacific Ocean on the west, the Gulf of
Mexico and the Caribbean Sea on the east, and Guatemala and Belize on the south. It is
characterized by an extraordinary diversity in topography and climate and is crossed by two major
mountain chains, the Sierra Madre Occidental and the Sierra Madre Oriental. The high central
plateau between these two mountain ranges historically funneled most of the human population
toward the center of this region. Mexico features volcanic peaks, snow–capped mountains, tropical

lowlands–is quite arid, receiving less than 130 mm (5 in) of rain per year. The northern Gulf Coast
plains are semiarid, receiving about 250 to 560 mm (about 10 to 22 in) of rainfall annually. As on
the central plateau, rainfall increases toward the south on both the western and eastern coasts.
The tropic of Cancer, which marks the northern limits of the tropics, passes through the southern
tip of Baja California and crosses central Mexico. Much of southern Mexico has a tropical climate
with distinct rainy and dry seasons; the Gulf Coast has more regular and abundant rainfall than the
southern regions of the Pacific Coast. Temperatures in these coastal regions range between 21 and

Grit Essay Examples
Grit is a predictor of academic, professional, and personal success. Grit can be defined as strength
of character or the ability to overcome failure and continue to work toward success. People with
grit are not always the people with the most natural ability, but their work ethic and ability to
overcome obstacles allows them to achieve success. Grit is a very valuable characteristic in almost
any venture, as it gives someone an advantage in overcoming the inevitable obstacles they will face.
However, grit is much easier adopted when an individual has a growth mindset. The first step to
obtaining grit is to correlate both self–control and self–confidence when trying to reach an objective.
By doing this, one can focus on the task at hand...show more content...
I had no experience as a runner nor did I have the form. This did not phase me however. That year
I promised myself to push through all the six mile runs, sore legs, gnarly blisters, and at times,
lack of oxygen. At every meet and speed workout practice I pushed myself further and further. I
set a goal every time I kicked off from the starting line and never let myself get discouraged when
I failed. By my senior year, I was the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team
won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in Oregon. The
transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of
becoming a faster runner was complete. If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I
wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude of people
that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being
physically or mentally, goals keep us active and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone
has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the cone to
an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn't use
the characteristics mentioned above in more ways than one. Someone with a growth mindset believe
that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, brains and talent
are just the starting point.

excited. The fastest–swimming sharks have a moon–shaped tail that provides extra power and
durability for swimming. Sharks don't have a swim bladder. This is what helps regulate depth

This oil is less dense than water and acts as a gas bladder.
A shark has multiple rows of teeth. The mouth of sharks is in the front of the head. In some
species, sharks teeth are replaced as much as once a week. Some sharks have teeth used to crush

compared to incisors that humans have. These types of teeth are very important to sharks because
they are carnivores and depend on their teeth in order to eat their prey. A sharks body in covered

Pharmacy Technicians Roles Beyond Delivery

  • 1. Pharmacy Technicians Essay example Pharmacy Technicians Despite popular belief, pharmacy technicians are more than laborers; they are specially trained individuals. Imagine a family member is admitted to the University of South Alabama Hospital with an acute case of pneumonia, which will require oral and intravenous medications. These medications must be precisely prepared and properly delivered. The common perception is that pharmacists prepare medications and technicians simply deliver them. This view of their job is both accurate and inaccurate. Pharmacy technicians are most often seen as the pharmacy's "delivery–boy". Technicians are responsible for timely delivery of medications. However, delivery of medications is more than the act of getting drugs to a...show more content... The aseptic technique requires the sterile manipulation of syringes, vials, and medication in the confines of a vertical and horizontal laminar flow hood. Both of these skills can be taught. Most pharmacy technicians receive on the job training. The on–the–job training usually last for no more than six weeks, which is approximately two percent of the time a pharmacist must dedicate to their training. Ethical consciousness cannot be taught; only those who consider the implications of their daily tasks acquire it. Technicians lacking professional ethics will endanger patient's lives. Many ethical technicians make the choice to seek certification. Technicians are not required to become certified by the National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, but thousands of technicians become certified each year. Certification, however, does not test the abilities of the technician. It simply tests the knowledge required to complete various tasks. A technician being certified brings up additional implications involving questions of liability between the pharmacist and technician.. A pharmacist must check any medication that is administered to a patient. This is the focus of their job. Nevertheless, if an error occurs they are not the only responsible party. Most laws involving medical liability state that liability lies with the company and the competent medical professionals involved with error. Once a technician Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Essay on Divorce Broken families are on since the beginning of humanity. In fact, divorce, which has been very common in today's societies, is the major cause that leads to family devastation. However, although, in some cases, divorce is the only solution for a family to live in peace, one must think many times before taking such decision, and that is because of many . When life becomes unbearable between a women an her husband, they may think of divorce as being a fair solution for both of them to get their "independence" and live a normal life, they may even think that it is suitable for their children. However, this is not the case , divorce may have some serious consequences that can affect the whole society . Many religions disapprove of divorce....show more content... As declared before, divorce must remain the last decision to take by a couple, because of its dreadful consequences on the whole family. Women, for instance, undergo enormous pain as a result of divorce. In most cases, law gives divorced women custody. Consequently, they find themselves alone with their children, and hence obliged to look after them in a society where divorced women may be looked in a bad way. Besides, most of divorced women don't have regular income, as they were financially depending on their husbands before divorce, so they have to work outside home, without neglecting their duties toward their children, and this is very difficult to accomplish especially with the sexual harassment that becomes very common. Emotionally speaking, a divorced woman feels as she was betrayed by her ex–husband .She may also start to hate all men, and this can have direct effects on the way she rises her children. It is believed that men are the least affected by divorce. However this doesn't mean that they do not suffer at all. Indeed, men suffer financially from divorce; they are obliged to support their children as well as their ex–wives. And because before divorce the responsibility was shared by both husband and wife, divorced men cannot always afford to pay alimony, thus they may be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Informative Essay Hook Pinkston, Anna Dr. Jeff Newberry ENGL 1101H August 26, 2017 As my ninth –grade English teacher, Mrs. Newton would say, without a good hook to start your essay, no one will ever read it. As I was taught, a hook is a crucial part in your essay because it will help grab the audience's attention so that they will continue to be invested throughout the paper. For example, the hook could be a question or a quote about the overall topic of your essay. In my junior year, we had to do a controversial essay and I used a quote from a famous tattoo artist as my hook because I did my essay over tattoos and piercings. After the hook, the introduction begins to take form and show the audience what your essay is about. The introduction is the first thing in your essay that will tell the audience what the essay is about. The introduction paragraph should be as interesting as the initial hook and keep the audience invested in the paper. It will establish the basis of the essay and should contain the thesis statement. The thesis statement is the point in your essay where you will state the topics that the essay will contain. In high school, we were taught that the thesis should contain the three points that you will elaborate upon in your three body paragraphs: the weakest point, the middle point, and the strongest point. The first body paragraph should be the weakest or simplest way to get the overall point of the essay across to the readers. This will be the foundation of all three points, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay on Violence Violence is one of the most problematic issues society faces today, and it has been increasing day after day, in the streets of our cities. The most common description of what violence really is can be given as negativity towards something or someone either through physical or verbal actions, which often causes the victim to suffer pain. The different types of violence that exist in our multi–cultural society are out–numbered, but the most evident ones are domestic, gang, sexual, and racial violence. While violence can definitely be reduced, it will never be eliminated due to the nature of humans. Domestic violence, also known as spousal abuse, occurs when a person in an intimate relationship or marriage tries to dominate and control...show more content... On October 24 2000, a news article headline read, "Gang wars 6 Dead". This event had taken place in Etobicoke, and the news article contained sentences like "Six victims in six months" and "calculated executions". It also contained terms like "Bloods" and "Crips". These terms and sentences have officially crossed the border and have become all too familiar in Canadian cities. In order to cut back this outlaw behaviour, we need to educate our youth about the ill effects of gangs, drugs, guns, and should try to persuade them to instead make friends with those who accept you for who you are and use all their time in doing something positive and proactive. As a result of reducing and preventing gang violence, many cities have created special task forces and given schools their own police officers. Sexual violence is another form of violence that has plagued our cities. This crime involves violence that is specifically sexual in nature, to which the victim does not give consent. According to 2005 statistics, 51% of all Canadian women have experienced at least one incident of sexual violence. 6 out of 10 victims who reported being sexually violated were under 17. These numbers are alarming and scary. It is extremely important to get rid of such sinister crimes in our communities because it robs the victims of their innocence, self–esteem, confidence, and even trust in our society. • 10. Essay on Determination Some people believe that talent and a winning attitude are all you need in order to succeed in your endeavors, but a winning attitude means having determination, which many people lack. As seen on wisdomforthesoul.org, "Real leaders are ordinary people with extraordinary determination." Determination is an important factor in the overall success or failure of a person's efforts. Unfortunately, determination is not something that comes easy to the majority of people. To be truly determined, a person must first be passionate about what they're doing. The train will not change its direction, as it cannot, and no matter what, the train will continue along the tracks until it either reaches its destination, or is stopped by the conductor. For as an example, my plan after high school is to go to college, and then move into the professional world. When confronted about possibly wanting to join the military, my answer is absolutely not. Going to college right after high school has always been my mindset, and there's no way my determination will let that change. I am the metaphorical train, because my destination is set, and there's no chance for me to adjust my direction. I will not stray from my goal, because it would mean wrecking myself and all those involved in my endeavors. There will be mountains in front of me, and people I may have to run over to reach my goal, but when one's mind is set, they will not waver, and neither will I. By my senior year, I was the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in Oregon. The transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of becoming a faster runner was complete. If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude of people that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being physically or mentally, goals keep us active and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the cone to an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is.
