3. On either Word or PDF documents, a physician may use his digital signature
license to capture the patient’s electronic/graphical signature and then
countersign and seal the form using his digital signature.
4. When the patient is ready to sign, the
physician right-clicks on the signature
field and selects Sign.
17. The certificate is valid, and anyone can
confirm the physician’s identity.
18. The digitally signed form can now be added to the patient's electronic
medical record, whether that takes the form of an EMR, a document
management system, or any other type of electronic archive.
