The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) is the regulatory body for civil aviation in India, dealing with safety issues. It regulates air transport services within and to/from India, and enforces regulations regarding air safety and airworthiness standards. The DGCA also coordinates regulatory functions with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).
